Manual gpu selection won't use both cpu and gpu. It will still use only gpu but will give you option to choose which to use if you have 2 or more gpu installed
@FTLin0
@FTLin0 2 жыл бұрын
what he means is when the check box isn't enabled, the renderer will use both cpu and gpu at the same time. It's called hybrid render.

use adaptive sampling that will help a lot with the denoising and you can keep it at 2k.

I want to render using the GPU, but whenever I render my video with the GPU, it includes the background, even if I turn off sky visibility. Please tell me how I can render using the GPU properly
@Pixench

When you use an environment light, select the light, go to the light options, set the camera value to 0, and then render.

I think this is a software glitch. Delete the lights, select the entire scene, go to Scene, click the Optimise Scene Size box, check the Unknown Nodes and Shading Networks, then click Optimise, and then see what happens.

Are Cryptomatte AOV's supported with gpu rendering? I've tried both and it only shows up when rendering with cpu "merged AOVs". Solid information!

By selecting area lights, you can create this effect by changing the color of the light, Or you can create such an effect by turning on the Use Color Temperature option and moving the slider toward warm

Denoiser will do the job not the light sample. Increasing light sample will cost more render time.
@Pixench
@Pixench 2 жыл бұрын
No, my friend, samples reduce noise, camera aa, diffuse, specular, subsurface scattering, transmission, and light samples. In some cases, sss and transmission samples are not needed, but camera aa, diffuse, specular, and light samples are required every time. You can do this, leave the samples at default and render using denoise only, after that increase the sample and render it again, and judge the difference between the two by naming them differently when saving the rendered image, if you want you can message or tag me on Instagram
@nakibulislamnaiem
@nakibulislamnaiem 2 жыл бұрын
@@Pixench What I was trying to say, increasing the camera aa, diffuse, specular .... sample will produce better quality image with the cost of more time. But reducing these samples with increased light sample will do nothing than making it time costly.
