What kind of sharks are these?
@watertrek360Ай бұрын
Mostly reef sharks, some silky sharks, then a couple of nurse sharks. The first dorsal fin of a Caribbean reef shark is more triangular and located more anterior on the body compared to the silky shark. The silky has a first dorsal fin that is large, triangular, originating over or slightly before the pectoral insertion. The pectoral fins are larger and broad. Silky's snout is shorter than width of the mouth. I found the Silky shark to be more aggressive than reef sharks, especially the juveniles.

Hi there ... have you used the Divevolk with a glove for colder water diving ... did you have any issues ?
@watertrek360Ай бұрын
yes I have used it in colder water. Initially I did have issues. Gloves impact sensitivity, but I made some adjustments. I added a small lift to the sleeve to bring phone closer to the membrane. I also learned to slow down and press more cautiously. Make sure assistive touch is on, raise to wake, and all setting done, so you simply need to turn on and off recording or taking a picture. Lastly when I need a heavy glove, on the index finger, I created a flap, down to the first small knuckle, so that if I had an issue, I could at least deal with it.

I encountered a similar issue with my Sealion L15 dive light. Upon contacting their after-sales service, I was impressed by their prompt response and immediate assistance in resolving the issue. They provided me with a replacement battery compartment, which I noticed was an improved version. After installing it, I tested the light several times and the problem was no longer present. Upon reviewing the battery chip issue you highlighted in your video, I can confirm from my own experience that the Sealion L15 batteries indeed incorporate a protection chip.
@captainmarksreviews4061Ай бұрын
I had the same problem with myL-15 light. If you put silicone around the O-ring inside the cap, this resolves a problem. I think when you tighten it down without lubrication on the O-ring, the whole cartridge spins inside the case, putting pressure on the side of the cartridge so it doesn’t make good contact. I once you lubricate the O-ring inside at least on my case it works perfectly every time. Just FYI.
@watertrek360Ай бұрын
regardless.. the fact that the B24 for less money lasted significant longer in duration.. and I can't fit protected batteries in the L15, is the core issue...

Yes, as you said. I also own a letonpower dive light. Mine are B24 and Turbo S Pro. I trust Amazon, so I purchased them on Amazon. In the early stage of purchasing, I didn’t believe that there was such a cheap diving light, so I bought a B24 with the mentality of trying. The one I have is probably the new product you mentioned. It has a very convenient storage box and is also equipped with a battery. After 5 dives, the test results are excellent! The performance is no worse than the lamp I bought for $598 a year ago, or even better. So I decided to buy a Turbo S Pro again. At that time, I remembered that I was not very good at operating it, so I consulted customer service. The customer service quickly helped me solve the problem and the service attitude was very good. After testing it in the water, I was surprised! It has a very high CRI and good color reproduction. The photos taken are so beautiful. So I decided that I would always bring it with me when diving in the future. By the way, there is a detail that I need to explain. I personally prefer the buttons of the Turbo S Pro. It makes me feel very high-end.

Great Video thanks! Would you recommend the B24&B15 over the B14? Is there a significant advantage? In my region the price is like 68 euro for a B14 incl batteries and charger and the B24 goes for a price over the 100 euro for the same package. Would you say with your experience of both lamps that it still is a benefit to purchase the b24? Thanks!

Yeah, that’s not something you want to happen. Glad it worked out in the end. Regarding the camera, I have a much smaller rig than you do, (Sealife DC 2000 and dual flash), but I find that a heavy duty retractor attached to my BC works fine. It allows me freedom of movement with the camera, and yet I can drop it to have both hands free if required. It only drops a foot down my chest, so it’s easy to grab.

Hi Tim, Good video, once again demonstrates how a good day can get seriously F'd up very quickly. Here in my home state of Queensland (Australia) SMBs, whistles and cutting devices are MANDATORY for every diver, and the Dive Operators will NOT let you dive without them. Snorkels are a slightly more controversial topic, but I agree with your sentiments. My (bright yellow) snorkel has been with me forever - although it's time to replace it. Look forward to more of your videos.

The tripod mounts just fine on the tray. there are two screw mounts in the tray and the one in the center fits perfectly. I just got mine today and thought there wasn't a mounting point, but then was really looking at it and by the two mounting knobs for attachment to the accessory clamp, there are two threaded holes for mounting the tripod.
@watertrek3605 ай бұрын
My issue with the diveVolk tripod is not the mounting. It’s that it is not strong enough to hold my rig. Glad it works for you. Good luck and safe diving.

@@watertrek360 but underwater...weightless...it's not strong enough?
