Great video! While, we've been diving in the keys; at some point, we need to visit other parts of Florida to explore the shore diving up there. Some of the life looks really great. The Spanish grunt was a nice find. Haven't seen one of those. Thank you for sharing what this reef looks like. BTW, I think fish with the French grunt at 3:51 might be a butter hamlet. 🙂

Having your posts appear on my feed in relation to the Divevolk housing system for mobile phones I've subscribed. Having started my own underwater journey utilising a Canon video camera in a Gates housing, then onto a GoPro, I'm now seriously considering the Divevolk after watching your comprehensive review of 20 different housing models. You seem to favour wide angle shots, especially as you often dive wrecks but how about macro? Matthias Lebo, an advocate for the Divevolk system, was however a little critical of its macro lens saying its depth of field was somewhat limited. Do you have that lens & if so what are your thoughts on it?

It really is more about preference. Matthias and I have communicated many times. He is much more rounded photographer than I. He has a lot more patience than me. My point was that the WA lens does need to be centered correctly over the lens you want regardless of which one. In my cold dark diving up here in the north east. I look for expediency. Matthias and I are both proponents of smart phone camera technology. I am not a detractor of the lens. I am saying you have to take care when using it. It you bump it move it UW. You may find blurry results not expected. I am always happy to be compared with Matthias.

A question for you: do you use manual white balance for your videos or just color grade in post prod?
@watertrek360 Жыл бұрын
Both, if I am Using base camera app supplied by iPhone then post production color grade. If I am using an app like Beastcam, then manual white balance depending upon situation. Check out my videos on apps you can use. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pHzdY5ihj8tnos0 and kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHWbmqOfo8qIY6c
