as others have pointed out, opera requires operatic techniques, different from what contemporary singers usually use, so maybe this could be renamed to Michael Jackson's "ethereal/angelic vocals", "beautiful high notes", or something along those lines 😅. According to Seth Riggs, MJ's vocal coach of many years, many of Michael's high notes were in head voice, not falsetto, so Michael would've been a very talented operatic singer had he gone that route 🤭. He had a nearly 4-octave vocal range, so imagine...

Thank you very much for your explanation! I didn’t change the video title before because the people complaining didn’t really seem to know what they were talking about. They just wanted to act like they knew stuff and criticize. Plus, they probably didn’t even watch the whole video. I liked your suggestion, though, so I changed the title

Someone put your hand out is one of my favorite songs by MJ. It’s a shame it’s not on any of his albums. I can’t stream it. I only can listen to it on KZbin

The whole is it part was put into a synthesizer and played at higher and lower pitches than he actually sang it.

He primarily listened to opera and classical music at home, so this isn’t surprising

Gee look guys MJ sounds just like Luciano Pavarotti !... One of the many attributes of Michael that made him the G.O.A.T was that he knew how to stay in the lanes the good LORD CHOSE TO BLESS HIM WITH !😂.....please STOP THIS !☹️

He could sing Opera if he wanted to. Zero doubt.

MJ was never trained to do Opera, but hearing this makes it clear that had he chosen that path, he woulda crushed it. Just his natural pipes are phenomenal.
@MatthewThomas-ye1ei3 күн бұрын
If not trained to do Opera he very likely did do similar training for his own goals.
@yuriperez12219 күн бұрын
It's hauntingly beautiful. Very nicely executed falsetto, yes. But not "opera". A soprano normally wants to be very loud with their high notes since they don't use mics. Michael on the other hand tries to sound more ethereal and soft because it's what his music style is asking for and he can use mics.

that black outfit is meant to tear easily thats why. according to my understanding, he was wearing the beat it outfit UNDERNEATH the workin day and night outfit (black outfit in yokohama) . so in order to change very quickly, he js simply takes of parts of his workin day and night outfit to reveal his next outfit for beat it. you can read about this in K.O.S. king of style. he did this to perform a magic trick in front of the audience

MJ had tremendous vocal control and range: a lot of what you’re hearing in this video is him using what’s known as falsetto. It involves singing with the edges of the vocal cords instead of the full chords, with little to no chest voice, creating a higher sound. In the classical music world, falsetto is primarily used by countertenors, who are men who usually sing in the same range as mezzo sopranos. Most classical music written for countertenors tends to be sacred music such as oratorio. Regardless, MJ’s range and versatility remains truly remarkable ❤

It is husky fasetto, light and airy....if the vibrato was real, it is head voice and not falsetto....high tenor and a countertenor as well
@1970brenz11 күн бұрын
Oh yes maybe you're thinking of the falsetto (high voice guys do) probably is used in opera too. Barry Gibb from Bee Gees is a falsetto singer. It's beyond your natural singing voice.
