It's been about 5 years since I've really knit anything on any of my machines, and my LK 150 has been tucked away for even longer since I could only have two set up and it was the easiest to store. Patterns have come a long way! I used to make wool diaper covers/pants for my youngest but the adult patterns that were available were poorly shaped, or too small for modern women. I have room now for this machine and these look so cozy....

Like many others on, hear Im a beginner knitter. I've bone scarves, a hat and fingerless glove. That being said, I'm dyslexic and have a cuple other learning disabilities as well. I have really struggled with knitting on loops. I froged a hat so many times I lost count. I'll find a better video to teach me working in the round on a loop because I think it's the 1 thing holding me back in knitting. I picked up crochet after that hat and got way further. I've actually learned enough in crochet that I was able to falow this video, and it makes sense(if that makes sense). This really made me feel like I can now do this. In fact, I'm willing to go fight with ravelry to go find the patern on there to make this. Im so falowing you on hear and ravelry. I feel like i will learn a lot from you. Im going to change the straps for this pater a bit though. Im going to try to make it more like a sports bra where the straps are shorter, meet in the middle, and have a narrow center section. But I feel like the info you gave on starting the second cup will be the info I need for that. I just need to chang the amount of stiches. Im so excited about this. I've been wanting to make my own under garments for years. I knew the info I needed was out here. I just nedde to find the right teacher. 🎉❤

I love this too and would like to make it for my granddaughter. I have a standard gauge machine and was wondering if your pattern can be knitting fingering weight yarn?
@girlyknits2 ай бұрын
Hi! So happy to hear you like it! 💜 I have published fingering weight versions of a lot of my other machine knitting patterns, but unfortunately not this one, I’m sorry! You might be able to get away with making one of the larger sizes in the pattern (if she happens to be one of the smaller ones) but unfortunately it’s not an exact science. Wish I had a better answer!

Yay! Let me know how it goes! There is a way to do Kitchener stitch on the machine, but I feel it’s overly complicated and this is easier. Another option is you could bind off and have a seam there. I try my best to make all of my patterns 100% on the machine as I know many don’t hand knit. Hope you enjoy the pattern! 💜

In these "tutorials" it is not what they tell you to do but what they leave out and don't tell you. They are experts on the job so they forget the very simple things. This is a very good video. An explanation of what I mean; Lauren did not tell you to clamp the machine to the table before you start. I know that this sounds silly but I have seen similar things happen and go wrong. Thank you Lauren for letting me post this. Dennis.

@girlyknits8 ай бұрын
Hi! Are you able to get the gauge on your machine? If so I would recommend that! Otherwise you could try making a couple sizes down to compensate for the gauge, though it’s not a perfect solution and may need more mods.

@@michaelabarrios6013they don’t ever go out of work - they will be empty for the transfer row which which creates holes that create the picot, but because they stay in work there are floats created that will be knitted the next row.

I don't know what i'm doing wrong and i'm terribly frustrated. I have frogged this twice. First I tried casting on 54 st with a 3.5mm needle for the ribbing and it was ending up too big. Then i tried 48 st and it was impossibly small. I had one crying fit frogging it the first time and now, having frogged it again i feel so hopeless, as this was supposed to be an easy pattern! Cast on again 56 st on 3.0mm needles for the ribbing but it still feels too small to go around me, and i'm like an A cup.
@catalinamarina16 ай бұрын
Don't forget to make a gauge! It's a test piece, to see how big your stitches are. If your number of stitches are not the same (or close) as mentioned in the pattern (in this case: 19 sts and 27 rows = 4″ in Stockinette Stitch using larger needle), you can use different needles to compensate. And of course, be sure to take your own measurements as well.

So appreciate you sharing your marvelous bra top pattern. It was wonderful to knit up. Sharing my preferred strap finishing method is to knit a couple inches of a strap from the back up then joining the strap from the front to the back with a Kitchener stitch no lumpy knit joins ( I hate sewing seams together :)) . I followed Verypink knits slo-mo tutorial on YT. So glad I found your channel, have a lovely weekend. :))
