Thank you so much this video sir. My stepfather passed away leaving my mother with many pieces of equipment that I’ve been trying to learn how to run. My stepfather thought us kids were too dumb and irresponsible to run the equipment. Now I’ve been repairing the equipment, using it around the property, and selling them to try to help my mom. As simple as you might think your instructions are, I’ve been driving our 450c without knowing what I was doing. I replaced the fan belt and radiator on it so far. Thank you sir.

@@timparker533 thank you brother for the good words. I was in the same boat. My dad always said “ you will tear it up and I’ll have to fix it. So I basically bought my own stuff and learned by myself with a little help now and then. I swore I would never do my kids like that so I tell them “have at it!” My son operated the dozer and the backhoe better than I did. I was a Private Pilot since my early 20’s. Guess I was incompetent as well. 😉

Question: Do you have to use a clutch to shift from forward to reverse with this dozer? It appears to me you just lower the throttle and that allows the shift from forward to backward - with no clutching necessary. For example, if you both track levers pressed forward pushing something, can you just slow the throttle and the Forward/Reverse level back to reverse, or do you have to return the track levers to neutral first?
@wingandaprayeradventures6758 Жыл бұрын
Its good practice to slow the engine down before shifting but it is centrifugal type clutch. No foot or manual clutch
@wingandaprayeradventures6758 Жыл бұрын
Neutral is between forward and reverse. Just slow the rpms

It's a shame you cant get nothing that reliable these days, same with a JD 350, just feed them their lubricants and coolant, change out your filters and some halfway decent maintenance on wear parts it'll be there.....DEF and associated emissions have ruined the reliable diesel engine.

I also have a single axle dump, they have a lot of trouble loading me because of the bucket size on the loader.
@wingandaprayeradventures6758 Жыл бұрын
A good loader man uses the corner of his bucket and evens out the load so it wont be too heavy on one side. Its hard to do unless you use a tall loader. My backhoe is just tall enough to load evenly from one side of the truck. I still have to clean my tailboard before leaving the quarry. Be safe brother!!!
