He could miss the entire year and he would still be more tradable next year than he is this offseason. If talent is the reason that the Pats are doing poorly how did the Pats do so well for 20 years with low draft choices and loosing good players every year to free agency? Coaching is much more important than people realize because at this level they are all exceptionally talented. A goalie will usually get pulled before getting 7 or 8 on them. The fact he was left in net really skewed his stats unfavorably. Also, i think it sends the wrong message to play him less. If he is good enough to be the starter, it will make him a better goalie. No need to bubble wrap him. Start him and let him work out his mental game. Keep Korp's trade value high and let Sway rise. Also, make the team more accountable and not just rely on Vezina goal tending Edit: There's no guarantee that playing Sway less will keep him fresher for the 24/25 playoffs. The Bruins aren't favorites to win this year and letting him get the reps could help 25/26 and beyond

There are about 700 starting players in the NFL who are the best in the country, who are of comparable ability. The differences are how well they develop their skills. This is why Bill valued versatility so much. It takes a lot of learning and practice and coaches are a very large part in the process.
