At 35:09 in your video, if you have the speaker configuration set to Front 2 Way does it allow band pass of that second rear channel?

For the crossover settings, what happens when it’s in a 2 way front speaker configuration? Are you able to use both high and low pass on a channel for a mid woofer?

Great tutorial, only negative would be your hand always in front of the camera bouncing around. That got annoying. Keep had out of the way until needing to point or touch something.

I have this same exact amp, tho my HU is the 9500ES, but I'm not getting any distortion whatsoever. The DD-1 connected to the HU detects the 1k but does not detect distortion when the volume is cranked to max (50). Same when going through the amp. Maybe my DD-1 is defective?

I have wire tap connectors that allow me to connect two wires but that is done by laying each wire next to each other in the connector and just crimping down. Mine are in their "burning in" time at the moment. And after a lot of trying everything out with the radio they allready sounding sweet!! Can only get better!! 😃

Fixed a houseboat system that had 4 M7s on 3KW and was appalled by the lack of output- especially given the price. Shop that did the install actually did a good job too so can’t blame it on that. Volume behind the drivers was appropriate as well. Some comb filtering issues given placement but overall manufacturers need to come up with a better option than cutting 12” holes in the fiberglass of these boats for embarrassing levels of output at ludicrous prices. The pseudo-IB setups are horrible, especially in open air environments.

You can just test the max clean signal from the head unit through the amp. The manual for the DD1 even suggests doing it that way first before you start setting the amp gains.

I have been a huge fan of the Focal Performance then the Flax speakers for more than 10 years and had them in my last 3 builds. Great mid/high-level speakers at a premium price. I have since switched to Morel Tempo II's in my BMW and what a difference. I still love the Focal sound but the Morel's have a much more "solid" mid-range and the tweeters are less "Brite". Either way you can't go wrong but I give a slight edge to the Morel's in my case and they take more power!

I miss my CDX-C90, getting the 9000 instead 😊
