Stinger DC2-S12B Subwoofer Review & Install in Toyota 4Runner

I own the Stinger single coil 12 inch enclosure combo rated for 700 RMS/1200 watt max and put it on the Stinger 1000.1 mono amp. This sub slams at half volume on my head unit and half volume on the bass knob...I have it set up for sound quality though... I low passed it at 65hz and subsonic filter at 30hz. My enclosure was factory tuned at 35hz at 1ohm. Man this is the best sub combo I ever own... This sub has great SPL but I play it blended with the rest of my system and it is a very accurate and musical sub for all genres. Price to performance its got to be the best on the market!!! Great video...

I was hoping to see an rta of the box in the vehicle. Did you do one? Did the top end roll off naturally and steeply above 50Hz?

Great sub, it's a shame you can't get one anywhere. I'm in the UK and online they either don't have it in stock or like on ebay and amazon don't even have a picture of one SAD....

You're not this subs target audience if you think 146db is the lower end of acceptable output. Give me clean and musically accurate; makes me smile way more than panel vibrating volume for the sake of volume alone. There's lots of us out there.

@@jeffsaunders2778 I own the same cabinet and amp ( Stinger MT1000.1) only in the single coil version wired to 1 ohm. At 55% gain " About 600 watts " I reached 121.7 decibles of accurate and articulate bass from it. My whole compact SUV is set up for sound quality and this subwoofer can do it even as a ported sub. SPL means crap to me. Articulate and accurate bass than can still get loud IF I WANT IT TO is the way to go... I listen to bands like Led Zeppelin and Rush and this sub makes their music sound awesome...No port chuffing, no cone noise, just great bass. I have the subsonic set to 30hz and the low pass filter set to 70hz...The cabinet is tuned to 35hz so at 70hz I have a 12db slope...
