Nostalgia tells me Driver 2 is so much better. It was the first sandbox game I ever played. My friends and I spent hours just driving around. I know it sounds boring now but there was nothing like it at the time.

if your complaint is checkpoints use save states on a emulator, also emulators can make the game run in hd as well and make the game look great

I still remember the night I finally beat that parking garage shit clearly still to this day 25 years later. I remember making the save then copying it to another memory card just to be sure. I remember my brother telling me to f*ck off cause it was 2 in the morning when I tried to tell him. I also made some money selling that save to people I knew who were stuck on it, and later that year, a friend of mine got it on PC and offered to pay me to get past it, but I just wouldn't do it. I probably would have done it easily as I had months of experience playing the game at that point but I just couldn't go back ... I'll never go back!

Oh Driver nice, never got passed the damn training car park level as a kid, loved the take a ride mode, Driver 2 was really good on PS1 if a bit too ambitious for the hardware

Luckily for me I don't remember having to spend that long doing the car park bit back in the day. However in Driver 2 there was a level near the end where I could barely get through it even when I had the invincibility cheat enabled! Edit: Actually after watching the whole video it's possible I'm thinking of a Driver 1 level because it seems very similar to the president level you featured here. Driver is definitely a game of it's time. It was fantastic to play back then but definitely not now.

All your criticisms come down to your IQ level. To be fair the plane mission was the most difficult for me and I don't think I knew that you could do areal ball web attack even though I passed most of the X-men challenge missions.

You skipped the dreamworks intro?! The Commandos climb up the wee boy's fishing rod and throw him off the moon. Not quite as good as the Lost World game where raptors pull him down and eat him

After giving up on Crash 1 I went to this one and it was a breath of fresh air. Far less frusterating so far (just beat Cold Hard Crash in World 4) and A NORMAL FUCKING SAVE SYSTEM! Stoked to go finish it tomorrow!

I didn't know you could get on the truck in the first level by jumping on the hood. What you're supposed to do is to stand on the building you spawn in and then jump down onto it.

this game was one of the FIRST experiences i had in games where u could do "arena" type game modes, like team deathmatch and stuff aside from the campaign...u could do them with a friend to like co-op deathmatch....i mean it was just BOTS at the time we were playin but it was the FUNNEST!

Your big issue is you keep trying to do the precision gaming like it's COD with iron sights. Stop that this is an old fps you just gotta noscope everything. Precision is more for being stealthy.

They do not randomly spawn at train level they got set spawn points and they start to engage when you reach specific location in the train. Control you can 100% take cover to destroy every turret from beginning it can be hard when you're not used to it.

The N64 version is much better.

The missions not automatically failing if you fail an objective is by design. One, it let's you continue on and practice other objectives and explore with no pressure. And two, it's just fun as hell to let loose especially if you have cheats on.

Golden Eye was pretty good, especially the Multi Player (if I am thinking of the right 007 game). But I do believe Perfect Dark was the better party game at the time. I don't think Modern Gamers could put up with 4 player split screen Vs though.
