I mean aside from Jerry Reed and some of those cats, I can't place Albert, he's a cosmic irregularity. Been spreading word about heads hands and feet, and let me tell you, at least 5~10 have been deeply affected by the music these gents produce. The youth can't get enough of em hahaha

Thank you for putting the band on the air again. I used to hear them on KQRS 1440AM/92.5FM in Golden Valley, MN back in the good old days. The early 1970°s.

I love this version. We preformed this song in The Teddy Boys. Early 90's , Nashville. Tony, Brian Cadd, Mike Loudermilk, Mike Noble, Tony Newman. Can't remember the bass player. Dana and I were the b/g singers. OMG how watching this feeds my soul.

i will always be grateful to Bruce Brookshire & the Roundhouse/Doc Holliday Warner Robins GA band for turning me on to Head Hands & Feet back in 1977. Bruce & them opened their sets with a cover of "Let's Get This Show On The Road". Yrs later Albert contributed solo & tradeoff licks to "Peaches Are Sweeter", a song i wrote with Tim Brooks , probably Macon GA's finest guitarist on the 1994 Dos records Brothers Brooks cd . Thrilled & honored to have a monster player like Albert Lee on something that means so much to me. Check Tim & Bruce out too. Real hot pickers from my part of the world.

Pete Gavin was something else! I saw them in 72 opening for either Tull or Procol. Gavin went to his drums with a big bag slung over his shoulder, we found out why quickly, because within the first 5 minutes he smashed 17 sticks without missing a beat! And of course the magic Albert Lee!

What I've seen a few places is that Detroit with Mitch Ryder was not the same band as The Detroit Wheels. DWMR only lasted about a year or so, and had one self-titled studio album. The Detroit Wheels were in the '60s and then after DWMR too. I don't know where this recording came from, but discogs says it was released in 1997. Anybody know anything about this?

Saw them live in the old Tricorn Club in Portsmouth. Absolutely amazing. Loved every minute apart from being told by the management that I shouldn't have been in there and will never be allowed again. I did nothing wrong apart from being in the Royal Navy at the time.😮
