1:15 I applied "Geometry Nodes", but as shown in the video, the Inputs/Outputs menu doesn't come out in Group tap, and the Interface menu comes out, so how can I solve it? Also, how do I play the animation like it appears in the video? I'm sorry if the question is stupid

In the Geometry Nodes setup, why are you using a driver to get the current frame, instead of using the Scene Time node?
@sinasinaie4 күн бұрын
No reason, other than the fact that I keep forgetting about it. Most likely because it's not available in shader nodes.
@rubypancakes4 күн бұрын
@@sinasinaie Such a weird thing for them not to have ported over yet - maybe there's some technical reason it hasn't happened yet? I think they only somewhat recently made it possible to copy/paste some nodes between Geometry Nodes and Shader Nodes.

Dear Mr. Sina Sinaie, your tutorial is fantastic and detailed, and I am truly grateful. However, I've encountered a problem during the production process. Could you please tell me why the noise texture doesn't work in versions 4.2 and above? No matter how I adjust the values after following the video to this step, it doesn't take effect. I hope to receive an answer from you, thank you so much!

Ok, it's difficult to explain in text, but imagine a noise texture that is stretched in one direction, and squished in the other direction. I'll put this on my list of tutorial ideas for the future.

I've followed your tutorial and the results are adequate, though I wonder if two factors can be adjusted: 1. Are you able to adjust the space between the strands with this method? 2. Are you able to adjust the angle of the hair strands' ends? A few of them look like they've been cut rather horizontally, which doesn't look good when most of the strands terminate with very steep angles.

Interesting! Thank you so much for the tips! One question though, how would I go about mixing your normals set up for the pores part if I wanted to use a custom normals map that doesn't already have them?
@skipptheroominecraft6452Ай бұрын
your tutorial was great one thing though, you may want to clarify that if you have a bigger mesh area you may have to change some numbers, cause found out I was using a bigger mesh area then what you are working with and had to change some numbers around for it to show

Looks lovely. Rotation looping doesn't help when the requirement calls for a slow movement and also within limited frames \ time. need a looping noise node.

Thank you. I agree, that is the downside of this approach. On the other hand, other methods aren't as simple to explain, and the video would turn into a maths tutorial rather than a shader node one.

Awesome ! I've been looking for something like this for quite a while. Once you've done all the standard backgrounds in projects you need something fresh & new & this looks like it would work just as good in a single frame as it does in a simulation. Big thanks for doing the complete node setup at the end, it really makes checking your work easy.

Thanks, I hope you find some good use cases for this. :) And thanks for the feedback regarding the setup.
