Too expensive. Good rod but not in the company they've priced it into.

Do you prefer this line on a 6wt vs 7wt for finesse smallmouth? I'm primarily fishing rivers here in west Michigan. Thank you for all your wisdom and I absolutely loved the book! Cheers and tight lines!

No hook keeper, and white logo is still there. Introducing an update just based on blank tech isn’t going to cut it for a lot of people, how they can get away with not fixing the two biggest problems that the H3 had, is beyond me. Glad they didn’t change the grip at least, it’s better than the Sage snubnose.

I agree with you that a hook keeper is easy to do and a lot of people seem to want it so why not. But i dont get it because my leader is always longer than the rod and i dont want the connection inside the guides so i'm always wrapping the leader around the reel & back up to a guide, never use the keeper.

The logic is idiotic, but I think it’s like European sports cars not being equipped with cup holders-the marketers want you to think cup holders are gaudy and for peasants, so the lack thereof adds imaginary value to the car. Meanwhile the company saves money by not installing cup holders on the overinflated car that does the exact same thing as cheaper cars.

I recently last Oct upgraded to a Renzetti 4000 presentation vise. A friend of mine gave me his old traveler a few years back due to my vise growing legs and walking away. Its a great vise. I tie small flies. mostly trout. I was going to go with the master but I just could not justify dropping that kind of money. I took the difference and bought some feathers and hooks. Dave's vise, still will do the job. Its amazing how durable they are, and they make parts should you have the need to fix something broken. I don't think they ever break. I tied for years on a first gen Regal. That one was the first good vise I bought. There are a lot of good vises along with a lot of junk. Still on the old Thomson A I got in '64. I use it from time to time because well I can and at times I am still that 9 year old boy.

Why not just bury a 1" poly line to house. Then just attach a short garden hose. Pump straight to the cistern
@play-doughsrepublic5121
@play-doughsrepublic5121 7 ай бұрын
You have a great system here - but there's one major problem. Your gutters on your house will be endanger of being ripped down from snow that turns to ice - then slides down the steel roof, ripped the gutters off. You need some snow-dams on the roof to hold the snow in place and let it melt off. I had that problem on my house before until I put on those snow-dams. Great video though! :)

This was a great beginners kit for a great price. kzbin.infoUgkxKRURvLsu9Vvyw7gIuvt8FsApoQNCdz-1 Its given us a huge variety to test out and see what works well and what we like to use. Majority of the flies have stayed together well, but some of the rainbow warriors did unravel after catching a few blue gill. All in all, this was a great kit and are so happy with the purchase and value for money.

Love this. kzbin.infoUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend Got it a couple weeks ago hated having to wait almost 2 weeks to get it out fishing. This pole is one of our new catfish poles. It stood up quite well today. It casts great. It reels smoothly. The pole is easily collapsible. friend ended up catching only one fish because we didn't have too long to fish, and he reeled it in easily. Good buy. Hubby is happy so I am happy! Looking forward to warmer temps so we can spend more time playing with it!

Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup kzbin.infoUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.

Wow just seeing this out of the box kzbin.infoUgkxQr1yd4Zc6qJF-scTB6Zb9dQbVpviuRxB recommend I have yet to fish with this set up, but based on the first hands on appeal, I can tell this is going to change the way i pack and carry to a whole new level. If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.
