I was the first one on the goal post when IA beat Michigan State in the game that sent Hawks to Rose Bowl in ‘81. I have picture from the Quad City Times as proof. It was spectacular!!

Kirk should have sat Kyle McCann the year before this and let banks play imagine what he would have been if this would have been his second year starting

Isnt it amazing, they were on a thirteen game losing streak and still the fans filled the stands. That was a great game.

Jazz Patterson kind of reminds me of little Freddy Russell. He has that burst off the line but he doesn't have Gallery and those other studs opening holes for him. But maybe this year. I hope for those guys to have a great season and maybe get a chance to get even with Tennessee with a win. That would be great.maybe we could belittle them the way they did our guys.

Derrick Pickens is one of my favorite Ferentz era Hawkeyes and its a shame he graduated before they really started to win.

CJ Beathard definitely one of the best to do it at Iowa. I would say he is the best since 2008. Him, Stanley and Stanzi. Beathard willed the Hawks to victory made some great throws and runs

How did Iowa get so bad in 92? They had their share of up and down seasons from 89 to 97. Not easy to survive in Big Ten. Maybe Hawkeyes missed Bill Snyder as offensive coordinator

One of the biggest rivalries in college football this is the state of Iowa's Superbowl c.j. beatherd. The last great QB iowa has had in awhile

Tim Dwight just had a gear that is mere mortals lack. He could blow by people, and make it look effortless doing it. I miss Hayden’s offenses, his famous bag of trick plays, and natural grass at Kinnick. Love all of other changes at Kinnick, but they should’ve kept the natural grass. (or prescription athletic turf as they used to call it)

It would be great to get a QB who could make plays with their feet, as well as with their arms. I mean, I would love to have a pro-style QB who can just stand in the pocket for days, throwing all over the field, but over the past few seasons, it has taken our OL some time to gel. Having a QB who can escape pressure would be invaluable.

This was a painful end to a fantastic season. The first full season of CFB I ever watched and my hook into this great sport. This Hawkeyes squad was sensational and, up to this point, had enjoyed a magical reign in San Diego at the Holiday Bowl.

Game ball to CJ Beathard. Those runs deep in his own end zone were huge and then the balls to Matt and Riley were just dimes. Unreal game.
