Yes, same reason I bought it, sampling. Sampling a digital synth means to many conversions from analog to digital and back and again and again by the time it is recorded. Plus when sampling these relatively simple 4voice synths I can build up any size synth I want on the sampler. I have built gigantic synths from just an Arturia MicroBrute $240 synth. (my sampler of choice is the 1010Music BlackBox for it's absolute pristine ADC and DACs, and 3 to 6 outputs for post processing.

If I can run my gear through 2 mixers… 1 of my mixers (tascam model 12) has a little compressed on it too… I guess if you don’t plan to use a daw or any software to mix it with, or don’t have mixers that you can do the same thing…. Seems pointless but maybe it works for some situations… people without mixers or a daw.

@@oculist I haven’t made anything *new* with Elektron gear in quite a few months. I definitely haven’t moved on (I don’t think there are better sampler/sequencers out there), but have rather been enjoying the immediacy/playability of the 404 & OP-1 lately!

For iPad, you can't get any better than Koala for SP-202 style sampling/sequencing... Or Loopy Pro for layered looping. I use Drambo to host these AUV3 plugins and often p-lock sequence the output effects or parameters of the plugins themselves, which works sorta like Elektron Digitakt.

I just found out about this company OMG. So far these pedals seem like the coolest pedals in existence and they seem to ooze quality, which is probably why they're so expensive. I just love that all of these pedals utilize knobs and toggle switches, there's just something so premium about those two things. However, after looking into these awesome pedals it's pretty obvious they're targeted towards electronic music producers, which I am not. I play guitar. I envy you guys. 😭

@@SlowHaste Trust me, if money wasn't an issue I'd buy 2 or 3 pedals from CB just cuz they look so damn cool and I'd love to experiment with them. But for what I'm doing these pedals are overkill, especially with my limited budget. Maybe in the future. 🤞🏼

I think the original OP-1 looks SO MUCH better. Way more iconic. I‘m not a fan of the material and color mix of the new one, as well as the protruding keys.
