This is only 49 keys though right? So it's actually just a hare bigger than a portable 37 key like the JDXi or microkorg kinda thing. It looks super beefy though and sounds amazing. I feel like 4 octaves is plenty for a synth though. 3 is definitely good if it has a good sequencer.
@SlowHaste Жыл бұрын
@@infn8loopmusic yes 49 keys - I have the minilogue as well and that extra octave surprisingly makes a way bigger difference than I thought it would in terms of “playability”!

I’d rather have a Super Gemini with bi-timbral capabilities, better keyboard and extra octave. It can be as glassy or gritty as you want, just more flexible with it.

Sure but as an original electronic artist this synth doesn't appeal to me on the videos I've watched so far. When I saw sound design in your title I clicked but I didn't hear anything fresh in that respect. Fyi, I have vintage oberheims, Rolands, Korgs Yamahas, Ensoniqs, Buchla 200e, Eurorack etc . The Super Gemini seems like a more compelling synth given that it's essentially an homage to a CS-80 which are now unobtanium for underground artists due to the insane price inflation in the past 5 years. I never heard anyone with a CS-80 make anything that didn't sound like Vangelis, those synths are wasted and sit in a lot of commercial studios gathering dust. Super Gemini would offer something in that respect. A chance to create fresh sounds with the feel and timbre of a CS-80. At least I would veer well away from Vangelis pads!@@SlowHaste
