I promise you, any Black man who can’t love a White man, also can’t truly love another Black man, or vice versa. If you belong to a group that can not be racist by definition, then you never have to introspect and do any soul searching to become a better person. So...if I know at least three nuclear families (two pf them kin with me) who raised their children with love and no sexual abuse happened but their children turned out to be gay or bi, does that place serious doubts on his suggestion that LGBTQ people are confused sexually through their experience of sexual abuse? First, correlation does not equate causation, regardless of how much anecdotal evidence. I just want to make that clear. For Dr. Umar Johnson, who is a licensed psychologist, and the field itself is heavily dependent on statistics which is correlation, not causation; I find it entirely unserious if not asinine that he uses this very talking point to justify why he discriminates against homosexuality as well as feminist women as evidence (against the mainstream of his field mind you) that homosexuality is still, in his opinion, a mental illness. What I can conclude is that it's very possible that he may be simply projecting his own undressed childhood trauma, and may be using his career as a political stance against progressive/non traditional lifestyles as a manifested outlet to deal with his own personal issues.
