Evangelical American Christianity still stems from old school Protestant weirdos who were driven out of England and the Netherlands for being kooks. Like he says, a lot of what's presented by most of American Christianity is Leave it to Beaver, white picket fence morality not actual Christian ethics and practice. When I was an evangelical I had friends who purposely wore lip rings and smoked cloves just to get under the skin of certain church leaders we knew or anyone else who might come at us with the same, pharisaical energy. It wasn't until we started hanging out with more catholics that we got to see that wine, tobacco, tattoos, art, music, all have a rich tradition in christian history and life. Now all of us are Orthodox except one guy who's still catholic and one girl who's atheist-ish, but I would recommend Catholicism or Orthodoxy for anyone who's looking (actively or subconsciously) for a more mature, rich, intellectually capable version of the christian faith that still allows you to pursue the Lord with everything you have.

"Christian black metal" is a oxymoron. If christians can play black metal, Jews can be Nazis !🐺🖤 It's absolutely pathetic

Because this religion was never about following the teaching of Christ. This long standing state of the "Church" always has been and always will be based in Holy Roman Paganism. Nothing more than a SUBVERSION of CHRIST and GOD and the lifetime indoctrination of the masses towards the worship of flesh, sex, wealth, status, and decadence.

If only I had not trusted even a little I would have been fine but I let my guard down I should have trusted my instinct that all who I have been involved with will do what is in their best interest I failed never have I seen another human do what was best I'm done being fooled by the lie that empathy is not an excuse to hurt another for that person's own ego to justify the damage they do to another that's the kicker

Some people like to "run" other people. Now if you`re into that shit, just pick a god, your favorite god (with it`s manual), and put it in your pocket. Make the rules to your religion as you pick & choose which lines in the manual to enforce on yourself (and others). They made it easy to do by numbering each paragraph.

All to often Christians are their own worst enemy. As a Christian myself, moments like this make me sad. I'm sorry for their experience and that their church couldn't see past themselves.

Well certainly you never want bad situations and experiences with people who profess Christ to actually shape and mold your feelings an thoughts about the actual God! God is God and and He is constant where people, even Christians are not...maybe some of those people in his old church now see Christian extreme music as not necessarily false and bad. I mean music, whether it’s hymns, pop music or even extreme metal CAN glorify God!

This message from Dan got me through my final years in high school. Since then I’ve still thought about death a lot, just not my own death but the ones I’ve lost. I love you Dan, and I love Zao 😥😥

I made it to Cornerstone, though a good bit of difficulty. I have pictures to prove it. i prayed alot and saw amazing things there. True great thing, God led me to buy some man a Coke -cola in middle of concert but i never did. I watched him look hurt and go by one for himself. Works hard and i did all i can do but I keep thinkig on greater things.
