I think you will find that the taco setting is. Wasted spartan two stroke ie. Two sparks per revolution. Standard two stroke or four stroke wasted spark. One spart per revolution. Standard four stroke. One spark ever other revolution. This covers every possible firing permutation

I just switched to Ernie Ball Aluminum Bronze medium lights. Best sounding string for my Martin 00-28. Thanks for this video. I'll surely keep an eye out for that trademark and fake packaging.

I just bought 9 packs of these snides! I guess the price was too good to be true, I noticed straight away as I was changing them from a genuine set on my guitar, they don’t sound as bright and no better sounding than the 3 month old (and very played) original set that I had on there, another thing I noticed was the actual ball ends are different, the fakes were slightly flatter and a brighter metal, cut from a different machine, I got mine from an eBay seller, time to go back and complain!

Just bought two sets of Earthwood 13's pb yesterday from a guitar shop that I've been going to for years and your observations are correct, I love these strings and I'm sad to learn about the fakes but also glad to know, thanks for uploading, fellow Aussie here, I wonder how far around the world these fakes are ending up, the colour of the windings of the fakes would ring alarm bells for me if I ever opened some up.

Hard to believe they are fake. Trade Mark Infringment is a serious crime. I am inclined to believe the differance is that it is two different Ernie Ball factories.

Hello . I have installed the speedo and everything work except i cant access the LC mode to set the speedo parameters. The only wire i could not find a home for is marked EE on the Chinese instructions . Press the l/h button while in trip mode and nothing happens . Any ideas . Bob

Could be you have a different model. There's another that looks the same but works differently. If holding the (I think) right button while turning it on gets you into a programming mode then this video doesn't work for your model.

Do you know how to disable the gas gauge? I can’t use it and it keeps flashing even though it’s not hooked up to anything.

Hey, just earth out the wire for the fuel sensor. It'll read full all the time but it's better than flashing all the time.

I have a new set with the commer above balls, athe pack has no over lapping foil showing as your genuine set has, Mine also has the Register trade R symbol. I belive my string packets was white from memory as i through them out but kept my outer packet. It also has the crimple join. So either the fakers have got better or the genuine sets also have diffrences?.

I literally just got some fake Ernie Ball's from a seller on ebay lol be careful guys, this happens a lot, and an easy way to avoid it is by buying from trusted sellers (Sweetwater, Guitar Center, etc) A couple other ways u can tell if Ernie Ball's are fake 1) the packaging will feel/sound excessively crinkly 2) the stings themselves are grimy feeling (because the packaging doesn't have a proper seal) There are many other ways to tell, but only if u have the real thing side by side, which of course won't help if u just have the fake ones lol

Anybody have any info on other codes I can try? I have Vitacci 200 Clash (Honda Click Clone) with digital speedometer thats way off... pressing and holding both buttons on startup asks for password but 750 does not work. Anyway besides testing all 720 combinations? lol

I`ve bought fake super slinky strings once and the first clue was when you unwind them they do not spring straight and look sort of floppy and kinked. As for the sound you will find that you cant intonate them so they sound `off`, I then noticed the packaging was wrong, they were from Ebay, I`ve just ordered some from Amazon and if they turn out fake I will never buy strings online again.

I checked all my Ernie Ball Earthwound strings and they all have the genuine signs you pointed out except for the flap that is next to the bar code. All mine the flap covers the last digit of the bar code. I find this interesting.

I just figued it out on mine. in the menu it came after factor. You get fuel and can choose between 2 or 3.

my rpm reading is 1000rpm and when I do full rev it only reaches 4000rpm. I already set it on 0 factor. and my fuel gauge is always blinking on both fuel 2 or 3. do you have any idea how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

some fuel float sensors have a hgiher electrical resistance, that is why the fuel gauge is not working

I have a 13000 rpm version. Much of it works the same as your helpful video. One difference is that to calibrate the tachometer and speedo you hold the left button down as you switch on the power. You get a number comes up like 035 21 . The 035 is a factor for the speed and the 21 is the revs. A long push on the left button progresses through the digits and a short push on the same button changes the selected digit. To stop the fuel gauge flashing you need a small voltage on the fuel gauge wire. This might just work for my cheapest one I could find version.. or it might work for others as well. Good luck.

@@waynewarwick3055 I did this by trial and error. I guessed a number and then compared the reading against a known speed. I used a strobe light on the rear wheel, but it would be easier to just drive at a known speed. this tells you that you are out by a certain factor, say 2 times or .75 for example. With this information you can adjust your constant to seek a closer result. Then try again. repeat, etc until your reading is true against whatever you are using as a reference. I think it is : the higher the constant, the higher the speedo reads. But I might have this the wrong way round. It was a while ago now that I did it. Good luck.

@@ratmanbrian Thanks for your help. I'm going to ride through the cameras that flash your speed up as you head towards them and keep adjusting it to suit I think that would be my easiest option.

@@waynewarwick3055 That should work fine. It might take two or three adjustments, but after that you should be more accurate than most OEM speedos.
