Here is a brief video showing the difference between a genuine Samsung Micro SD card versus a fake one.
Both purchased on eBay. Fake cost $37 genuine cost $41.

I bought one of this last week. Every time I put my file on it, the file got corrupted. My one is a fake it has same characteristics as the fake on in the video. but it also come with the SD adapter and the same packing as a real one. Fake one is made in Taiwan and the model number on the packing end with CN.

All Samsung Genuine SD Cards always states MADE IN KOREA Also all the edges around the SD Card should be coloured white if they are coloured black then this is more than likely a replica fake Real Cards have model number Real cards have Serial number Real Cards have made in Korea clearly printed on the back

Lately, a lot of these evo cards in 128gb have been finding themselves on eBay for as low as $18! There are a couple shipping from the U.S. and I thought I might buy one to test (Although I believe they're fake). If you happen to buy one by accident, demand a refund immediately and scan the cards. They have to issue you a refund or you can escalate it to a full blown claim.

I can't believe I got a real card for $5. The writing speed is 49, verifying speed is 59, and the size is 64gb which is what it says.

Still happening as I received fake 64gb EVO microSD. It had problems over 15gb corrupting data. If I used this on any device like a dash cam/action cam or mobile phone, I would loose data. Worse if you needed dash cam footage! The white edges or lack of was a dead give away. I got a refund. I gave back the unopened card (I bought two), as the other card has been tested - first by copying some folders of music and photos, then using H2testw. Whilst copying the folders Windows reported that something is wrong, and after trying to read the copied content from the card, some folders were empty, or a message reported that the data may be corrupt and cannot be read. H2testw reported the media is likely to be defective as follows:- Warning: Only 63967 of 63968 MByte tested. The media is likely to be defective. 14.8 GByte OK (31130086 sectors) 47.6 GByte DATA LOST (99874330 sectors) Details:711.7 MByte overwritten (1457685 sectors) 0 KByte slightly changed (< 8 bit/sector, 0 sectors) 46.9 GByte corrupted (98416645 sectors) 3.5 KByte aliased memory (7 sectors) First error at offset: 0x00000003b603cc48 Expected: 0x75f3a7ed08d9dfd1 Found: 0x5c58d08433832bd1 H2testw version 1.3 Writing speed: 13.5 MByte/s Reading speed: 12.9 MByte/s H2testw v1.4 Basically 14.8GB is the limit with 47.6 data lost! The Samsung fake was easy to spot straight away, due to the black edges, which should be white. I never used the card properly, so lost nothing important. Other fake brands may be harder to spot. This is when testing software is handy, plus videos like this.

They have over 130,000 + positive feedback and I think that speaks for itself. They are based in Australia but could have stores on eBay in other countries also. Matt.

my genuine samsung microsd card, 64gb as well, installed on my GFs samsung galaxy s4, just randomly stopped working... phone doesnt detect it anymore... well, actually it "works" when i plug to pc, but it's write protected... cant format, tried different methods found online, just fails and gives I/O errors ... sad

Sammy Morini well real late on this but when flash memory fails due to exceding it's max wright cycles it should lock in read olny mode as it can no longer be written to Although the nice thing about this is that you don't loose your data when the card "expires" like outher storage media.

Yes, the first 5 seconds are completely out of focus and what's worse is that 2 or 3 times the picture took as much as 1/2 a second to come into perfect focus. Unacceptable!! I shall have to fire my executive of focus control, he is not doing his job correctly.
