Good idea for a series. Very sloppy presentation -- unfocused - "and all that stuff" and so many similar phrases. Could have been so much better.

Alas when I got my Akai MPK mini with free MPC beats! however when I got through all the signing up and downloading it, It came back my MAC High Sierra was too old to have MPC beats! scammed or what!

very good presentation style, but not as well done as some in this playlist - too much uncertainty and some bad info (like the preferences menu) and fair number of incorrect terms - you should redo this one

Thank You so much for the support and feedback @teashea1 . I do my best to make things as simple as possible. We have become better over time at explanation and video ideas/execution. We know some of the videos are not the greatest. But we use them for after school programing so to do a video over would be a little time consuming. However, our channel is about feedback. @teamuncoordinated630 I needed a tutorial like this as I alternate between using the MPK Mini MK3 and the no controller method. I think you need to do a tutorial w/the MPK Mini MK3 as I hate the tutorials that don’t show the controller being used.

I think we can help. On your screen q links, make sure that the knob that says 'Time Correct' is ON. This should now allow you to snap you midi info to the grid. 😀👍

Absolutely! It is all patterns Hercules. If you are good with patterns you can definitely draw out beats manually. If you know keyboard chords and at least a little sense of musical theory you could be able to do chords and sounds and all of that just by using your mouse and your mouse pad.

I believe on one of my videos I make I am doing it manually and not using any external equipment at all. I want to say it was either the metronome video or the exploding tracks videos where I mentioned that I am not using an external device.

@teamuncoordinated630 it’s a shame that Akai’s “official” vids for MPC Beats are not this easy as yours. I’m a newb and frustration is what I experience as a new “producer.”

Thank You so much @soulciallyAdept for the comment. Yes music writing and producing can be frustrating. Our goal here at the studio and with our videos is to make things simple when you are creating. If you know the fundamentals of the DAW you are producing with. It makes things way easier to understand. I myself am still fairly new with MPC Beats. But i have been working in studios long enough that this kind of stuff comes natural to me. But just because i can pick this up quickly doesn't mean others can do the same. So we started making videos that give the basics. The tools that you will need as a producer to create properly. Good luck learning and creating! Peace and Love from Team Unco Studios! 😁✌

I apologize I haven't turned in to ur show in a long while. I kind of gave up because there's no audio sound from my akai mpk mini 3.. I tried everything, but still no sound, I watched videos utube, and those informations wasn't solving the issue.. so I just didn't bother with it again..

Hey Robert! Yes. Up to the top of the screen. There is a small icon that is a triangle that allows you to turn the metronome on and off at will. I will try to send you a better explanation when I get a Chance. 😁👍

Yes! Exactly @robert-asdf, you got it. We are already working on a video for this. Just because you commented on it. Is it ok if I use your comment in our video? Simple things like this are what we want to make videos on. It may be very basic. But this is why we give simple tutorials. We are so glad that you got it figured out. Don't forget. Just because the metronome is on when you are listening to your playback, does not necessarily mean it will be on when you are recording. You can control them both manually or shift R as your short cut on your keyboard. We are working on dropping an update video on what we are going to be doing for 2024, after that we will drop a metronome video. It will be short. Just wanted to share my deep gratitude for this video series. I've used Beats for years but never really took the time to dig into more of the details. Your knowledge and style in this series laid a great foundation for that and has me considering a MPC device to so some "dawless" producing. It is great hearing from "seasoned" engineer so if this was a Beats 101, would love to see you drop a 201 series. Maybe more on key groups, sound design, perform mode, etc would be great. Mush appreciation!
