I understand and feel the same. I picked up crocheting about a year ago. The act of crocheting, thinking about projects, and shopping for yarn is magical. I instantly feel calm...and excited! Thank you for sharing your feelings. :-)

@@othcrochetnookthat is my question also. Because as I started the 2nd line of stitches they seemed to all pull /pop back out as I pull towards punching the next hole. I bought the wood handle puncher that loops&Thread offers. That’s the same company that made the kit. Maybe it’s too big? I thought of purchasing the one you linked but I’m not quite sure what notches are for on the side? Which would I choose if I’m doing punch needling? I’m new to this and really need help. I’m basically learning from this very tutorial so thank you so very much! ❤😊

@@jomoland you may have a larger sized punch needle. There are pretty much 2 common sizes. Try to stay close when punching but not so close you are unraveling the previous row. Let me know if you need any more help!

I approve of this message. I love it when the temperature outside is cool enough to wear a sweater or hoodie. And I am someone that keeps the temperature in my home at 71 degrees year round just so that I can wear my comfy cardigan from time to time. I'd rather be cool than hot. The only difference this year is I think I can possibly make my own sweater. Which is something that used to intimidate me in the past. But now that I've found your channel I plan to get your patterns. I'm so excited!

In elementary school (I think 4th grade) we had a week where they taught us embroidery, and we used clay to make little ashtrays or soap dishes (it was up to interpretation for some of the students). And I would use my mothers old sheets to do embroidery on. I thoroughly enjoyed it. However I was taught the split stitch except it didn't go backwards it went forward. If that makes sense. And I was taught the french knot. I didn't know even the name of the split stitch. And I continued to do embroidery for about 10 years..... So I like that you actually provided the names along with the demonstration.
