Is that a different F1145? I noticed new paint and no aux hydraulic kit. Seen the cab unit was for sale and you were on the hunt for a sentimental one… is that it?

Mani loved this video. My dad bought one new in 1990 and I cut grass and tilled with it for years. So the story goes I moved to TN and had more land so I bought another one that I found on Craigslist. My dad bought a huge Kubota zero turn and then gave me his old one. So I then had two so my wife and I could both use one 😆. I then went through a divorce 🤬. Years later now I found a 430 reasonable and bought it. There are no substitutes for these series/ years of tractors.

Great video and review. I am considering one for a 1.5 acre lot on a decent hill. Will the deck blades stay engaged when in reverse?

My cable was seized so I used 50/50 diesel and automatic transmission fluid to free it up. I recently replaced it with low tech modified mountain bike derailer cable.

Where was the boat docked? I fished from NJ out of Brielle. One thing about diesels, you have to gradually increase the RPMS, can't just throttle it right away.

Older thread but I appreciate both your vids re 1145. You forgot to go over the rear wheel 4x4 selector function =forward-only 4x4 vs F&Reverse 4x4. Also the valve [fuel shut-off?] located behind the high-low range lever at left side of seat. Fwiw I'd have pressure washd both tanks while off but I grasp your concern re icing. I just bought an 1145 w 750hrs @ auction in WI: Oem Cab w/ heater, 72" deck, broom and blower for 4.6k. It already has the 2nd hyd control arm setup, which I thought was standard equip until your vid. Everything Works except: the diff lock lever is too stiff to op/the throttle cable is very stiff/gloplug dash-light nonop but plugs def working: Odd to me, these yanmars have the gloplugs inside the valve cover (a 1st to me)/no head nor taillight switch that I can find (installing one)/one tank float nonop. Not whining: I REALLY like this tractor! Should have my very-used Ventrac 4000 (23hp Kubota gasser) finally operable this week for blowin; gonna be VERY interesting to compare the 1145 & Vinnie side-by-side for snowblowing, (ice) traction & maneuverability. Diesel is the only way to go; 1145's torque @ the snowblower is a beast! Heated Cab made blowing in -33f temps fully bearable (@ Yooper). Overall your videos are very informative and helpful. Many Thanks!

Nice machine, good job. I really like your light bar, mine (F930)) didn't come with one , but I'm going to make one, with both front and rear lights on top out of the way. Seems to provide good night time lighting. This is a very useful machine on my farm. I have a Harbour freight 3pt quick hitch on mine when the deck is off the front, real practical. Thanks for sharing and good luck

I am currently looking for a 420 with the later P220 engine, no hurry, but since I let one go, I've been wanting another. The one I had was an '83 with a replacement P220 from 1996 so said the serial on the engine. It ran great an but felt I had to sell it sooner than I should have. They are great tractors. I love the big power and capability. I owned a 430 too, but prefer the 420. Although I accepted the long snout on the 430, I never felt like it was proportioned very well. Yours is agreat looking and well maintained unit, very nice.

We moved into my wife's grandparents home and inherited the 332. It's been mowing the 1.5 acres for over 30 years and it hasn't missed a beat. I changed the fuel lifter this season and that's literally the only non basic thing I've done to it in the 5 years I've used it.
