This is many years further on, but I am in a place where all of the doctors want to go surgical. I decided not to and so am on my own. Your videos are most helpful. I am in week 5. Thank you so much!

I am glad i came across this video. I had to do some research coz I had visited diff doctors and all tell me surgery and am like is surgery the only option c'mon plus to keep in mind I do not have a complete rapture its partial torn, its then i figured this doctors were not really giving me good advice, they didn't bother to give me a boot which I had to later find out what the boot is really about. Its then I realized the essence of it which is to have your food point downwards for it to have the achillies heal but no one was telling me this, especially this doctors

6 years ago I ruptured my Achilles and watched every single one of your videos. They were super helpful and provided me with multiple additional tips and tricks which my Physio did not tell me. I have just ruptured my achilles again on the other foot so I am back again to view content. 😪😅

I completely agree with the boot selection, couldn't even wear the first boots you showed even though the dr, charged me $200 for it even though I said they're uncormfortable. I went to another orthopedist and he gave me the second pair you showed, what a difference!

Sir, Madam, I am an orthopedics patient. I got seriously injured and broke my left leg in a road accident in Bangladesh. I have had several operations on my feet in Bangladesh. But it did not yield any results. I was a victim of a road accident in the last two thousand and one years. Two thousand and twenty three years have passed since then. I am living a very difficult life. That is called the living of humanity. I applied to many hospitals around the world for treatment of my feet. But no one responded to me. I am asking you for humanitarian help as a human being. I need better treatment. I think every doctor in the world is humane. I believe that some great doctor will come forward to treat me. I have two little girls. Their future will be dark for me. As a father, I cannot accept that. Please help me please. Someone help me for better treatment, please. I don't want to take any treatment in Bangladesh and Asia. I want to go to any developed country in the world such as America, London, France, Spain and take treatment in these countries. I have been suffering for almost twenty three years now. If you help me a little, then the Creator will help you. God bless all, Amen 🙏🙏🙏🙏 My address: I am: M.A. Quader, Banshkhali, Chittagong-4393, Bangladesh. My mobile and whatsapp number: 01819-877376, I wish you all the best. thank you *****

Agnes, Your channel helps me a lot. I still take a look at your video e.g. rehab exercises from time to time. Just wondering if you have tried or heard about the shockwave treatment? Can shockwave treatment help with scar tissue a lot? Can achilles tendon become much thinner after the treatment? Thanks!

I can't see this working for my torn acl and sprained mcl because I can't bend the knee nor put weight on it. Sigh... wish I could work but I wouldn't even waste my time thinking it could. Not for my injury but this is good to kno for recommending it to someone else

Thanks Agnes I never posted years back when I had a full rupture. My surgeon at time mentioned it was possible I could take conservative treatment like you and I found your videos which helped me make the decision to follow same path you did. 5 years on and I have progressed well. I was told I would never play tennis or run again but o was focused on proving people wrong, and I have achieved both. Thanks so much for motivation to push through and follow rehabilitation closely as frustrating as what it was especially first year. Hope you are doing well.

70 and active, more tennis on soft courts, little pickle ball on hard courts, and golf. Surgeon gave me the options and it was my choice to make. Had ultrasound due to cochlear implant requiring such. Ultrasound is a good diagnostic tool but the MRI is more conclusive. Had surgery and not looking back......several professional athletes we know of and one is on TV this week have had ruptures and are back to playing in NBA. Good video and do your research. I will add this, if you feel that you have a blister on your heel and none is there and you change tennis shoes thinking the shoe is cutting the heel and still no blister but the heel is tender, lay off and RICE for 10 days. In my case, golf once, tennis 4X and pickle ball 2X in the 10 days prior to injury on pickle ball court made for a weakened tendon susceptible to injury.

Non surgical will depend from case to case and MRI result...if rupture is ideal then non surgical option might work, but if rupture not ideal then it might end with <70% recovery in motion...surgical is better as doctor will see the real damage of tendon....
