Some lady gave me this for free when I was selling her windows for her home. I accidentally left it on sitting with the light side facing straight down, standing up and it died overnight. I got new batteries and it seems dimmer. Any thoughts?

Of course I realized that this is an older video, but looks like the parts have not changed from what I can see. What I HAVE seen installing this exact barrel with this exact enhanced upper, is that the barrel is VERY TIGHT in the upper, making it IMPOSSIBLE to twist it and hear that nice "tap" when the index pin falls in the groove. Although there may be more than one solution to this, I heated up the end of the upper receiver with a heat gun (NOT a torch!) and the barrel, that was cool, slid right in. Also, I marked the end of the Geissele Automatics Reaction Rod at the back of the upper receiver with a scratch awl, using a completed upper that I know is assembled correctly, so I know FOR SURE that the barrel index pin is in the slot and all the way in on the new build. You cannot directly visualize the index pin after install on the Enhanced upper receiver. BTW, I love these Aero Precision enhanced receivers and these barrels. It is the only upper I buy now for AR15's.

I had the same issue a few years ago on a AR10 build with an Anderson lower parts kit. I engaged/disengaged the hammer and trigger manually for approximately 30 minutes and it works flawlessly till this day. Turned out to be exactly what you said, a burr.

I put these on my old trusty g22 about three years ago. Absolutely hate them. The front sight needs a round dot instead of the entire face being green, and they shot six inches high compared to the oem and the trijicons that were on it. The face of the rear sight also reflects light which draws your eyes off the front. Cool idea I guess, but I’ll never buy these again.

I torqued bolts on gas pipeline for 15 years. Quit over complicating this. Range is 30-80#. Set it to 45#. Torque it at whatever angle you want. Oh, by the way, did you forget about the coefficient of friction? If threads are dry or lubed, and the different lubes have coefficients too. Whatever, 45#, torque it!

so put the armorer's wrench 90 degrees with the torque wrench to get a closer to accurate value?

once I tighten the flash hider, the pin hole is past 6 o'clock, probably around 8. should I keep tightening for another 300 degrees to further crush the washer and get the hole to 6 o'clock? I'm afraid to damage my barrel

The wrench is already 90 degrees. The diagram you shown is when the wrench is straight but the wrench on the barrel nut is already 90 degrees so you’re applying incorrect torque of 180 degrees. Keeping the wrench straight and the hook is at 90 degrees is correct.

Shooting 223, even match grade out of 5.56 barrel will not result in good accuracy. Unless your barrel has 223 Wilde chamber. But either way sierra bthp bullet will do the best. Also 5.56 is naturally inaccurate comparing to 223 chambered gun. Shoot 5.56 ar Because you’re tactical bros. Shoot 223 if you care about accuracy

I have that sight tool its almost perfect, my only complaint is its too deep , i put some melted plastic inside of it to take up some space now its perfect. I probably used it 50 times and it's still in the condition it was on day one. A lot of these cheap ones only last once maybe twice before they're all wallowed out

Great video. Well done. . Crazy thing is, there could be several odd thing resulting ur issue as I am dealing with same. Exact same on the 300 blk out build currently under way. These gun are great once tuned however, smaller precise tolerances just equates to high probably for failure.

Really like the granulated grips on my XDM and Shield but decided to try the rubber on my Ruger 57. Big mistake. The rubber is as slippery or possibly worse than the stock surface. Fit and finish are great but they are way too slippery. Going to order some granulated ones for the 57 as replacement. But for the cost, I can't complain.
