My opinion about the beer: Very strong carbonation and persistent foam, which makes the drinking process very pleasant. The smell is rich, malty, with light herbal hops. The taste is quite bright, typical of Belgian ales, sweetish, malty. Aftertaste is a slight bitterness and sourness, not very pronounced, malty. A very good beer with a complex taste, fruity esters typical of Belgian ales (thanks to the yeast). I will definitely try other types of beer from this brewery.

Well done again team. Massive FOMO on my part, had to miss the fun cos I was too busy this year & 1 beer usually leads to 3 more for me. Next year, 2 advent boxes!

My opinion about the beer: A very pleasant sour, which you can finish the evening with. But there are a couple of "Buts": the drink is not thick enough to be a smoothie (although perhaps there was simply no grounds in my can) and secondly - this beer is damn spicy! The smell is berry and pepper (capsicum?). The taste is very pleasant, blueberry juice, sweetish, slightly sour. BUT! Very quickly gives way to spicy jalapeno and burns the whole mouth. Aftertaste - you will not feel anything except the spiciness in your mouth. The drink is more reminiscent of a cocktail, I did not feel the malt component. The problem is the spiciness of the drink, which instantly kills the receptors. Perhaps those who like something very spicy will be very pleased. But I wanted to have a snack with this beer to put out the fire in my mouth. I could not finish even half a glass.

My opinion about the beer: A good ale with herbal and pine notes. But a strange oily feeling in the aftertaste and even notes of petroleum products (this is most likely a subjective feeling) blur the pleasure of the finish. The smell is hoppy, herbal, coniferous. The taste is empty, herbal bitterness, light sourness, coniferous oils. Aftertaste is bitter, herbal, oily with a transition to the smell and taste of petroleum products, as if you walked into a garage (most likely a subjective perception).

My opinion about the beer: Good dessert stout. But there is some imbalance, expressed either in sourness or in a barely perceptible smokiness. The smell is burnt, coffee. The taste is sour coffee, like cold coffee, lacks sweetness. The aftertaste is a bit bitter, sour and smoky. I didn't quite understand this beer, I didn't find enough sweetness in the taste for this style. There is also a slightly inappropriate sourness, most likely from the roasted malt, which probably also gives a strange smoked taste.

My opinion about the beer: A very light ale with pleasant lager organoleptics. The smell is unobtrusive, honey, floral, hops. The taste is pronounced malty, sweetish with a slight bitterness. The aftertaste is soft, malty with a slight bitterness. A good summer ale with a powerful malt taste. I'm not sure that the bitterness is enough to call this ale an IPA, but it makes this beer very drinkable and balanced.

My opinion about beer: A very unusual beer (in a good way)! In the summer heat, refreshing and sour berries with a malt base are what you need to quench your thirst. The smell is pronounced raspberry, berry, fruity. The taste is a lot of raspberries, sour, juicy, turning into sweet. After all, this is a Sour, so the leading flavor is sourness. Aftertaste is sweetish, malty, berry. I will definitely try other beers from this brewery!

My opinion of the beer: Cloudy, light straw color. Overall impression - nothing special, average hazy. Rather strong carbonation interferes with the perception of all the flavour notes. Smell - hops, tropical fruits. Taste - fruity, sour, going into bitterness. Aftertaste - bitter, short-lived. Is the beer in style? - definitely yes. Can I single it out from other hazy beers? - no.

Hazy IPAs are a fungible commodity. They are all completely identical. Just ask Andrew Childs, who's been brewing the same beer continuously for the last ten years albeit with a different topical culture reference on the label every time. Facts!

My opinion about the beer: An interesting experimental beer. Cloudy, light straw colour. The overall impression is that this beer is like a mix of sour and wheat beer, with Belgian yeast, which gives a slightly dirty, ethereal taste. The smell is bready, wheaty, slightly sour. The taste is sour, bitter, juicy, fruity, citrusy. The aftertaste is bitter, bready, quite dry. My main problem with this beer is that it resembles mash. The bitterness in the beer, which is most likely from the addition of Tangelo (but clearly not from the hops), reminds me of the bitterness of mash.

My opinion about beer: Good beer for every day, if you want to quench your thirst or drink a pleasant beer, without experiments. In my opinion, the beer still remains in the IPA style, but at the lower limit of bitterness. The smell is grassy hops. The taste is inexpressive, malty, watery with a slight bitterness. Aftertaste is short-lived, weakly expressed, slightly bitter, malty, dryish.

My opinion about the beer: A very drinkable beer for appropriate situations. This is not the beer you would drink every day. Malty body with the smell and shades of "campfire taste". Well-balanced taste, with pronounced notes of smoke, which at the same time remain unobtrusive. Smell - smoked, wooden, grassy. Taste - smoked, malt with a slight sourness and notes of wood. Aftertaste - bitter, tart, dry.

My opinion of the beer: Classic West Coast IPA. Slightly cloudy light amber ale with a persistent fine foam. Overall impression - a very decent beer with a well-balanced smell and taste. Smell - hoppy, fruity, tropical, floral. Taste - you immediately begin to feel the hop bitterness with good malt support. Aftertaste - the bitterness intensifies, you feel the density of the beer and juicy fruity notes. Very drinkable beer!

My opinion of this beer: Quite bitter and dry beer. In my opinion, a little unbalanced, although perhaps I have not yet understood low-carb beer. Smell - medium intensity, hoppy, a little fruity. Apparently, New Zealand hops are used in production, which gives the beer a light smell and taste of tropical fruits and flowers, which is unusual for a Pilsner. Taste - tart, malty, flat. Aftertaste - dry, malty, bitter.

My opinion about the beer: My respect for the experiments with wild yeast! My wife gives it a 9 out of 10. Very summery, interesting, drinkable beer. The smell is not strong, malty, sour. The taste is sour, malty, with a bitterness from yeast fermentation (like mash). The aftertaste is complex, dry, with notes of banana (similar to wheat beer, although I don’t think there is wheat malt in the composition), perfumed.

My opinion about the beer: Beautiful amber-colored beer. As expected from APA, the bitterness is moderate, not sharp with hints of tropical fruits. Overall impression - in my opinion, a slightly unbalanced beer, I did not find the aroma bright enough, most likely dry hopping (adding hops at the fermentation stage) was not used. Smell - indistinct, hoppy, tropical. Taste - sweetish, malty with moderate hop bitterness. Aftertaste is tart, moderately bitter, oily.

My opinion about beer: Beer with a very pleasant smell and unusual bouquet. I had an association with the Gruit style - beer that was brewed in Europe before hops became widespread in brewing. Smell - floral. Taste - herbal, floral. Aftertaste - sour-sweet, wheat, with herbaceous bitterness. This is the case when hops are replaced (not completely) by other herbs, so the "usual beer bitterness" is different.

My opinion about the beer: I didn't quite understand this beer. The general opinion is that it's a drinkable beer without any expressive character. Transparent beer of dark brown colour, the foam is not persistent. Smell - grassy hops, a little of roasted malt. Taste - caramel with a light note of roasted malt, a little sweet. The aftertaste is short-lived with malt sweetness. Quite a drinkable drink, but personally I didn't have enough hop astringency, and I was constantly distracted by the bitterness of roasted malt.

My opinion about the beer: I'll say right away that Imperial Stouts are my favorite style of beer, so I'll be a little biased. The overall impression of the drink is as expected, for a strong beer aged in a bourbon barrel, the leading note of the whole drink will be bourbon, while the beer is drier than most imperial stouts, which gives it drinkability. Carbonation is not strong, which is normal for beer aged in a barrel. The smell is roasted malt and a lot of bourbon. The taste is bitter chocolate, quite dry and light (for this style). Aftertaste is a lot of bourbon, balanced bitterness of roasted malt, hops, tannins and alcohol. I was especially pleased with the balance of the bourbon note in this beer - it is pronounced, but unobtrusive and does not overwhelm the rest of the taste of the beer.

My opinion about this beer. Overall impression of the drink - A fairly standard IPA (or rather APA) of light straw colour and a strong turbidity characteristic of this style. The foam is persistent and fine. The smell is bright citrus, tropical. The taste is juicy, fruity, tart and bitter. The aftertaste is long with increasing bitterness, due to which the rather high strength of 7.3% is not felt. I want to try other beers from Mountain Culture now.

My impression of this beer: Overall impression of the drink - very unusual, but at the same time balanced. You expect it to be sweeter and richer (like a porter), instead you get a very light taste. Very easy to drink beer. The smell is of roasted grain, sweetish. The body of the taste is empty, lagery. The aftertaste is short with a slight bitterness, a dry finish, which is easy to confuse with sourness.

I want to write my impression of this beer. Robust beer with bright hops and citrus notes and caramel aftertaste. Overall impression - confidently medium, with a pleasant red-copper colour, medium carbonation and persistent foam. Smell - hoppy, citrus, pronounced and bright. The beginning of the taste is malty. The body of the taste is rich, bitter. Aftertaste - caramel with notes of citrus bitterness.

I want to write my impressions of the beer. I am not a native speaker, so some turns of speech may be translated strangely. Quite an average porter with quite recognisable characteristic of the style - watery with a pronounced taste of roasted malt. The first impression - sour and unbalanced. The smell is weak: burnt malt, sourness. The beginning of the taste is quite sour. The body is empty, watery. The aftertaste is pronounced bitterness (more like chocolate). The problem is with forced carbonation. When heated closer to room temperature, it loses carbonation and the taste becomes even more unbalanced, alcoholic bitterness appears.

I will write my impression of the beer. I am not a native speaker, so some turns of phrase may be translated strangely. A very drinkable beer, without a hint of sourness. Overall impression - a very well-balanced beer, brings back memories of Vienna Lager, which I tried (accidentally) when I was a child. A pronounced hoppy smell. The beginning of the taste is robust, caramel notes. The body is malty with a hoppy bitterness. The aftertaste is short, hoppy with a pronounced hoppy bitterness. It is great to drink without a snack, or with salted fish or nuts.

I want to write my impression of the beer. I am not a native speaker, so some turns of speech may be translated incorrectly. Rich taste, initially sweetish, then tart, turning into bitterness. Overall impression - confidently above average, an unusual experiment in combining ale with mead. The smell is honey hoppy, herbal, floral. The beginning of the taste is a pronounced honey taste. The body of the taste is dense, a little dirty, which is typical for ale, and the saison in particular. The aftertaste is pronounced bitterness and a bit sour. In my opinion, there is autolysis, the aftertaste goes into notes of champagne or white wine.

I thought the dubbel, tripel, quad thing was to do with brewing time originally? As per usual, I could be wrong...
@BeerJerkNZ3 ай бұрын
It's to do with the amount of malt used in the brew (and hence, the resultant abv). Belgians describe a Tripel as having "3 helpings of malt" 🍻
