Thanks this helpful. Had to use ECT Snow for the first time in the Dallas area today. Its a hard place to plan for snow because it happens so infrequently. I could definitely tell the difference getting out of my drive with it on vs off.

Thank you so much for your video. Here’s my story. When my right brake light was not working, I first changed the bulb, but that did not help. Then I looked at another KZbin video, which said I should bend the contacts and twist the connector only part-way. No luck. Since I had to get an oil change, I figured I’d pay the dealer service guys to fix the problem, thinking they have seen this problem before and would fix easily. Wrong! The service guy told me it would cost $160 to diagnose the problem. I reluctantly told them to go ahead and fix it. A couple hours later, the service tech. called me to the shop, where the young (20 year old techs) ran tests and told me I needed a whole new rear tail light assembly, costing around $600. I told them No Thanks and started searching. I ordered the new connector, hooked it up, and presto! Problem fixed! Thank you so much. Thinking back … replacing the whole tail light assembly would not have solved the problem if they didn’t replace the connector.

My problem with turdbos is they don’t generally last about 125k and then you’re looking at thousands on a replacement. As for the turdbos in the foreign trucks that’s different because they are diesel and they generally don’t rack up the miles like here in the United States. I’ve been to multiple countries around the world and nobody racks up the mileage that we do and mostly because of the cost of fuel and sucky roads. Americans don’t realize how blessed they are to be an American.

So, yes I make it a point to have people become my friend. To make a long story short. He basically told me that Mazda doesn't make a strong enough battery. He advised me to increase the CCA on my next battery change. He basically said that nowadays cars have too many electronics in them that it eats up the battery quickly and that the additional CCA will help. I hope that helps.

2005 TOYOTA HIGHLANDER LIMITED-My symptoms were tail light fuse, kept blowing out left blinker wouldn’t work hazards stopped flashing, and would only work for a few seconds. Also as another possible problem is check the trailer hitch, wiring harness, right underneath the plastic tool tray holding all the tire changing tools inside the back floor panel. Directly above where the spare tire is, but inside. There is a wiring harness to add on trailer lights. Constantly shorts out on the metal floor. If you had changed a tire recently, that will definitely be a reason why I could’ve gotten moved in, pushed against the floor harder. Check it out as well while back there. Good luck

I'm originally from Detroit. I grew up around auto manufacturing plants and was 2 miles from the GM tech center. Used to be where you would buy a new car, payments for 24 or 36 months, and that was it. Most people could afford it. Now people are just priced out of the market and manufacturers are trying to make all the money on fewer top trim level cars & trucks. Financing for 72 or 84 months is insane on a car. By the time you pay it off you lost your ass on interest and payments. Financially speaking, your best bet is to buy a 2 year old car off lease. Then someone else takes the hit on the residual, and you get a car that still has warranty.
