well, huh! As much time as I spend with self-tapping screws, I never ever thought of starting them with a tap. That by it's self was worth the price of admission. Nice job on the playground too.

Hey, does anyone here know if your platform height is off by a few inches from 5ft, then can it still work with a slide designed for a 5ft platform?
@papacreaky8 ай бұрын
My platform was not exactly the right height for the slide. It was a little shorter by a couple of inches. The plastic was flexible enough to still work. I also slightly dug the ground out at the bottom of the slide to help level it. Hope that helps!

Hard to remember now. I think all said and done it was somewhere between $1,100 and $1,400. That’s 2020 prices which were a bit higher because of the shortages, but could be similar now due to inflation. 🤷🏼♂️ Sorry I can’t be more help.

All this without the use of a nail gun either, truly impressive. I still don’t understand why people use nail guns when they have unlimited time for projects. Screws developed specifically for fastening wood to wood are infinitely superior to even HD nails in nearly every way and can be removed with ease. Couldn’t tell if you bought treated lumber, but he only thing I would have added is two coats of “weatherall” paint for water proofing. Superior job sir. If every house in America was built with that level of care they’d last 75 years easily.

Thank you 🙏🙏 I wanted to make it stand the test of time for my kids, or for the next family. Some lumber is pressure treated and some is not. Building it near the beginning of COVID meant limited supplies.

As handy as you are, is there a feud going between you and your neighbor in the background? It seems if I had kids, I would get a potential tree that is obviously in need of removing dealt with. I'd hate to have my son crushed under it. 😢
@papacreaky Жыл бұрын
The neighbor refused to clean it up… She was less than helpful. The tree was fully on her property prior to falling. The likelihood of it ever falling more into our property was less than 1% chance. If anything it would fall back into her property. It’s hard to see from this video’s angles. At this point, it doesn’t matter we’ve all moved from that house about a year ago.

Use needle nose pliers to line-up the tips of the E-clip with the groove/slot on the post. Then with decent pressure, it slides over and literally clips to the metal post. Best of luck.

Anyone struggling with the e-rings: Put the bar on the 1" orange cylindrical rod inside the wheels. It just kinda free hangs there - this is correct! Set the e-ring in the groove, so that it balances with the bottom open. Tap once with a hammer. They're locked into place! The foam handlebars were much more of a headache. You have to twist them on. Twist the inside half first, then twist the outside half. Repeat ad nauseum til flush. 😅 Happy mowing!

Is water pooling an issue with the flat floor surfaces?

I’d get a little pooling, but I also built it with the slightest pitch for it to drain off the side. The Rock Solid coating prevented damage.

Wish I could share one with you. A lot of planning was on scrap paper, so I’ve lost those over the years. At the end of the video it shows my schematic drawings on graph paper. I think my scale is on it. It’s mostly 2x4s, 4x4 posts, plywood, 1x1 balusters, and buckets of deck nails. You might be able to count out the numbers of lumber you need from screenshots of the video. Good luck!
