It pronounces Ga-cha Pon, two sounds, “Gacha” for the hand-cranking action, and “Pon” for the toy landing on tray, not Ga-shaperon

I feel they missed the boat on this one, Literally, the banana boat from part 4, why doesn’t part 4 get any love, I mean I like it better than part 3, the knuckle heads that create these toys need to get it together, that ending of part 4 would create a cool scene as well

That movie poster! It’s my Apple Watch wallpaper! My wife and I watched “Grizzly” while hiking through the Grand Tetons National Park last summer. The place has a few grizzlies roaming around so we had fun watching it that week. The poster does make me laugh as it depicts a very unlikely scene. The movie scared me when I was a kid because we camped out a lot. I didn’t know the artist was connected to Batman!

As far as I know- the only real inaccuracy about the colors here? The lips aren’t red, apparently never have been. Creature actor Ricou Browning and Julie Adam’s both recall a mossy/lighter green for the lips. Excellent review!
@thecantankerouscollector2 ай бұрын
I wonder what artist first used red for his lip color? There has to be one specific piece of image or art out there that defined that lip color being used for so many other artworks over the decades. I think he looks better with just a very slight hue of red on his lips, sort of separating them from the rest of his face. Thanks for watching!
@ryandozier80532 ай бұрын
@@thecantankerouscollector I believe it was a magazine cover?? TIME if I’m not mistaken, that popularized the red lipped colorization. Tempted to repaint one of those three heads just to see what the accurate lips look like

I’m with you there man, really want to get a proper Taylor from these guys before the line disappears again. I too wanted him all the way back then! Back in 2014/15. At the very least- the few apes shown years back that never came, a TV series soldier and Julius specifically.
@thecantankerouscollector2 ай бұрын
Julius would be great plus I would hope they would give us more gorillas from Conquest. It's tough to build an army when they included only one of them in that expensive 3-Pak.

Great photos of her! I have the 1/6 scale version which also came out great and even it was big for that scale so I am sure the 1/4 must be as tall as a 1/3 statue. I was one who didn’t like the large base but it really makes her tower in my collection.
@thecantankerouscollector3 ай бұрын
Thanks- it's a really nice statue. I refrained from looking at the 1/6 scale version when it had started shipping so I could view this with an open mind. The base turned out better than I thought. Very happy camper!

Balaur Arms also put out a very nice version thru KultofAthena. I bought that version before they stopped making it, with the steel pommel, then got a brass insert made for it. Came out awesome. It was the second generation with better handling and scabbard. This is also the sword the Confessor class starts out with in the very popular video game “Elden Ring”. It’s just called “Broadsword” in the game.

Looks neat. I think it would look better if the fire effect had some clear resin and flickering LED's to give it a glow. Also the gold and skin is a little flat. I am a hobbyist not a statue collector btw. Granted I am sure they are not charging that much though for a 1/4 so I guess it is fine.
@thecantankerouscollector3 ай бұрын
Yeah, fire is tough to depict in sculpted, 3-dimensional form. It does look better when it is translucent and can be lit from the bottom or behind. I'm not sure how I'm going to display this yet and if there is any way to light this at or around the base to brighten the flames.
@bacawaka28133 ай бұрын
@@thecantankerouscollector Fire is tough for sure. How they do it with miniatures (2 inch tall models) is crazy though with opaque fluorescent paint and it looks like real fire. I was just saying how I would have done it using the existing sculpt because I have done stuff with flame effect LED's, clear resin, and clear paint Extra lighting would be cool and make the piece really pop!

@thecantankerouscollector4 ай бұрын
Very cool. I would love to write a Dracula story for film loosely based on Bram Stoker's novel. It would be my vision of Dracula with horror and more action than we've seen. And if you like Braveheart, wait 'til you see what I've got!
