This is a really gorgeous sword! It really was something gorgeous to see in Dracula.

Balaur Arms also put out a very nice version thru KultofAthena. I bought that version before they stopped making it, with the steel pommel, then got a brass insert made for it. Came out awesome. It was the second generation with better handling and scabbard. This is also the sword the Confessor class starts out with in the very popular video game “Elden Ring”. It’s just called “Broadsword” in the game.

Enjoyed your video. I wrote a 12 part historical action drama miniseries that could be considered a prequel to Bram Stoker's Dracula. Very interesting and exciting history Kingdom of Heaven meets Braveheart.

Very cool. I would love to write a Dracula story for film loosely based on Bram Stoker's novel. It would be my vision of Dracula with horror and more action than we've seen. And if you like Braveheart, wait 'til you see what I've got!

Are the gaps between the blade and the guard accurate? It looks strange.
@wlg26774 ай бұрын
@@thecantankerouscollector Yes and no. Historical swords sported gaps between the the guard and the blade shoulders that vary a lot, even swords that are not quiet centered. Modern replicas have swords that are very tight, with almost no gap at all and ones that have gaps that are very wide. The problem with your sword is that the gap is rectangular and it should be lenticular because the blade has a lenticular profile.

Not a bad looking arming sword. Though I would've preferred that they gave him a saber (either shamshir or kilic) like Vlad would've actually used at the time.

The sword looks like the TESLA logo.

Just gonna go straight to touching the blade with your hands, huh? Interesting choice...😅

The blade was as dull as my love life.

@@thecantankerouscollector I'd be more concerned with leaving finger prints that will turn into rust. Even if it's stainless steel, rule of thumb with most swords is to avoid touching with bare hands bc of this. Just sayin...

@@thecantankerouscollector I had that very sword. The clear lacquer finish was so thick you could have used it to *have* a love life and it would have been fine.
