Wow, great patch. It's so easy to go way too far in Myth, but you found a way to make some really tasteful creative choices here.

I could see exporting some of your favorite sounds as wav files and then creating various Random Metal drum kits for Battery or maybe UVI's Percussion Factory for more fun or even creating custom patches in Omnisphere? Just a thought.

The whole fun here are the x/y pads which totally morph the sounds so resampling would be boring imo.

Synestia works like any other effect plugin, in this case I inserted it on a bus and sent the voice track to that bus via bus send (pre-fader).

VG

Does little for me, but thanks just the same. I far and away prefer your YT-demo'd work with LP's Spectral and Spectral over Pigments. There seems to be less nuance in today's synths. It often sounds kind of batchy/blocky/buzzy. On the other hand/ear, I liked your sitar/backbone exploration. I have Backbone, but haven't opened it yet if I will, since I have Harmor and Chromaphone. I tried Synplant, but might wait for an upgrade. Funny, but I might have thought you'd have taken up Harmor, at least for YTube, but then it looks like you went in the Alchemy direction instead. Can't say I've so far been too impressed so far with Factorsynth 3 YT demos, but am about to take a listen to your rendition. Wish me luck...

Beautiful! It reminds me of the beautiful lmdsp Superchord, which seems similar, and also of some things you can do with Zynaptiq Orange Vocoder IV. I already have these two and I wonder what are the main differences with Synestia.
@SimonStockhausen1967Ай бұрын
Synestia is a resonator plus filters/delays/flangers/frequency shifter/sideband/plenty of modulators (LFOs/Random/MSEGs), and a vocoder is a vocoder, where the carrier will determine the pitches/dynamics and the modulator will determine the timbre.
@GiovanniGrosskopfАй бұрын
@@SimonStockhausen1967yes, of course. The correct comparison is especially with Superchord, which is a bank of resonators organized in a similar way (but has some different features). This Synestia seems a beautiful tool, so I will compare these two.

I just got this and it's already my favorite processor. It's wonderful to have Brian's latest sonic magic in my system again (not that I ever stopped using Absynth). Synestia has such a clear, beautifully organized interface. I find it much easier to use than Plasmonic, and I love how easy it is to integrate these uniquely Clevingeroid effects with my other synths.

Apples & Oranges
@MrOuija-rr8kqАй бұрын
Well the Resynthesis is definitely better. It can only handle certain sounds.
@SimonStockhausen1967Ай бұрын
Synplant can only analyze a snippet of max 2.5 seconds, then it tries to rebuilt a sound using 2 FM oscillators and some filter/effects based on that analysis. MYTH actually resynthesizes the spectral content (pitch/dynamics/timbre) of a given sample and it has 4 different modes doing so (also in stereo if needed) and the max time for resynthesis is 20 seconds, if a sample is longer it will be truncated. So those synths can't be compared with each other -> apples&oranges.
