To be fair Marc was being a liberal pussy standing up for degeneracy. Typical ✡️

I saw gallagher in his later years - he screamed out "yall wanna smash some FRUIT?!?!?!?!" and then he jumped down off the stage and beat me with a hammer. 😢

He stopped smashing shit at most shows because the venues starting deducting the costs of the extensive clean-up from his check.

Marc Maron is lying to seem like not a woke hack comic, he's a total ass to him the whole interview. At least when he was on O&A it was funny despite them busting his balls.

Funny how these comics are making fun and mocking Gallagher when his success and popularity in the 80’s and 90’s blows their careers away. They have never came close to his success. He was a comedic genius that choose his own path and brought laughter and joy to families everywhere. Disgusting how these comics speak about a true pioneer of comedy.

It's an odd, wild, and useless talent that Marc has in as much that he can slip in so effortlessly into a convincing Gallagher impersonation as he speaks

Rip gallagher. Saw him in vegas in 2011 and he told the lot of us that this gallagher they experienced is a character. He was completely normal with great stand up the night we caught him. It was a character the whole time and everyone bought it.

I was just talking last week about his show that we attended at the Marin civic center. He had just gone through a divorce and his whole show he was bitter and angry. It was awful. The whole audience was exchanging wtf looks. Glad he had that cathartic hammer bit or he would have died of a heart attack a long time ago.

In this story, Gallagher represents a sizeable junk of America whose legacy (that was always an intellectually absent, creatively bankrupt and vapid myth) is fading fast and they are clinging SO HARD to all the wrong things of this lie and alienating the rest of the civilized planet in the process. And it's not age. Many of them are sadly just now becoming old enough to drink.

I saw Gallagher live a few years ago. He just came across as really bitter and resentful towards the audience who were initially on his side. He brought the sledge-o-matic out towards the end, but left abruptly. I enjoy angry comedy but Gallagher was just angry and I feel sorry for him.

Some comedians are philosophical and others are clowns. I was in a hotel in Orlando and saw him bumming around the large lobby, thinking first he looked out of place. I recognized him and took a selfie with him. He was totally morose until it was time to say cheese. He did. Face off/ face on.
