He is adorable!! Our cats loved being brushed and again I would highly recommend getting some sort of door stops for when you leave the apartment so he doesn't get stuck without his litter box, water, and food. Glad you are giving him some alone time so he can adapt to his new surroundings.

Ahh! Just found your channel, this video is so sweet! Cats are the best (I might be bias lol) and they have so much personality! I love Tidy Cats, I’ve found it to be the best litter so far, but my cat hates the scented version. I highly recommend leaving full cups of water on tables or on the floor, my cat hates the water fountains, but will very happily drink from a full plastic cup of water lol. You have to just kind of experiment to see what your cat likes!

I love how prepared you are! I've had cats all my life and one thing I've learned is to give them at least some wet food to keep them hydrated to avoid kidney and urinary tract issues. Cats aren't very efficient water drinkers so the majority of their water actually should come from their food. Can't wait to see what little friend you bring home!

I know that my sister gets pretty litter and has really really enjoyed it for her cats. So excited to see what cat you get!! Also I tend to go to Marshalls and TJ Max for pet stuff and only go to petsmart for food if needed. I have a subscription on chewy and it’s so nice to just have everything delivered to my house and not to worry about it.

Another tip, you may want to get some door stops or prop your doors open when you leave to go to work. Both of our cats loved to play with/by the doors. Our previous cat was a champ at locking himself in the bathroom. When you leave the apt, you don't want the cat being trapped in a room with out their food or litter box.

I like to use Cats Pride or the one from Aldis. Those cat liters clump nicely. Also, they come non scented which is good for the cat. Jackson Galexy videos are good info about cats. Our current cat was a rescue from a house with 50 cats. Every cat from the shelter has a history and you never know what type of behaviors they may have. Our cat is an absolute sweetie, but when we first got him, he hissed at us for a few days. We do dry food during the day and give him some wet food at night. Also, if you have an Ollies down by you, they have a bunch of pet stuff for cheap. We got a cat tower from there for half the price of the other stores. Have fun.

I use Arm & Hammer litter and it's what is the top seller at Petsmart so it's good! hahah But you can get litter at Costco/Sam's pretty cheap. But you're right the baking soda in the A&H will neutralize the sent. In terms of bowls, bigger bowl for water, small for food. You should aim for stainless steel as it doesn't get germy/gross as quick as plastic does. The cat can be turned off of the scent of the plastic if it gets dirty. So ceramic/stainless steel is best. Your chosen food dish is way too deep. Their whiskers are sensitive and they don't like going so deep into the bowl. So more shallow bowl for food. 10/10 recommend the "litter locker" or "litter genie" (looks like a diaper genie) for litter after you scoop it. For a bed- my cats have loved cardboard beds. They sell them at TJ Maxx- very good quality for cheap. My cat favours them over soft beds.

I'm so happy and excited for you!!! Both of my daughters have two cats each and love them beyond words! Sometimes it's good to have two cats so they aren't as lonely but maybe start with one cat and see how it goes :)

From 1st grade to 4th grade, I had a music teacher. He was very kindhearted and loving. He was also very handsome. When I was in the 1st grade, I loved him. As soon as I entered and got held back in the 2nd grade, I started getting annoyed by him. When I was in the 3rd grade, I started hating him. When I was in the 4th grade, I accused him of things that he never did. I am now 27 years old and will be 28 years old on August 5th. I always write to my elementary school music teacher, but he never writes back. He probably hates me now. He is only in his early 70's now. He is still as handsome as he was when he was my music teacher. He even has grandchildren. He retired in the mid 2010's. If he's still doing anything with music, that's great. Even if he's just lying around in bed while listening to music, that's great, too. I need to go to his house and apologize to him in person. I don't know how old his grandchildren are, but I can and will babysit for them. When Mr. Peters becomes so old that he's bedridden, I will take care of him. I don't want him to die anytime soon. I will be extremely sad if he ever died.
