That was a very mucky ride out. Took ages cleaning the mud off the next day. Glad all stayed seated on that ride. Now got to wait till next season.

Well they are remarkably hardy little bikes. Obviously a 50 year old bike does not come with a "Kia" warranty but they are straightforward to mess with. Just keep an eye on the oil take, the brakes and lights are poor but it will get you attention wherever you go !!

There isn't a whole lot of information out there and I don't see any content of those bike here in america. All the spare parts I have found are from Europe, india or Australia. The one I have found have a gearbox oil leak but Im confident I can fix it and put that old bike back on the road.

@@VoulkHusky That was supposed to be oil TANK - the two stroke oil. Good luck with it. I quite enjoy a cold winter ride, as long as I am wraped up warm and with my heated grips, I wear an open face lid but enjoy the icy feeling on my face. I have just done a video riding after it snowed here

@@RobLittleuk Yes salt can do quite a bit of damage to bikes, its one of the reasons I dont ride my XBR as with all the bare aluninuim on it will turn to powder :(

People who buy a 125 tend to ride them at the limit, which is probably why the YBR has a thirsty reputation. In "mature" use with a regular oil change, I don't see why it would burn it.

Nice sort of a day for the time of year, Rob. The route that you were on didn't seem to have too many of Swindon's infamous roundabouts... A comfortable 32 C here today and 29C tomorrow, with a cooler 22C for Sunday; no rain, of course so hopefully my stepdaughter and I can get out for a ride on our bikes over the weekend. 👍

A great ride out, there is some nice country roads in your area, I wouldn't mind living there with all the picturesque little villages to explore. I need to find some mates with small bikes in my area, (North Norfolk). We have some interesting places to see but nothing like Wiltshire. I fancy riding the Peddars Way on my Honda Monkey, but not until it dries out.

Another enjoyable film Rob. I stand in awe of you Wiltshire Whizzers. I just would not go out on a day like that as I'm a soft Highlander! They make them tough down South and to emphasise that Dave (I think his name is) was wearing sandals and bare feet! Wow. I liked the Francis Barnett. Also your friend on the Tiger Cub! Love it. Of course my C15 is based on the Tiger Cub so I'm biased. Thanks again. Love the shots of the bikes all passing by.

What a gorgeous collection of bikes. The Honda anf125 innova here, I had the previous carb model and did 77k on it. Exhaust replaced and cush drive, but engine still purring. Oil changed every 2k miles. Sold it and guy put it in his mondeo estate car😂. I would not ride in those conditions now unless caught out in it. The tiger cub looked the cleanest after the ride

Great ride Rob with a great gang of real bikers on a grim day. The chap on the Benelli showed why it is a bad idea to ride without proper mudguards. For me, the bike of the day was the Tiger Cub, the sound of that little engine was wonderful. 😊👍🏍 JN

Fortunately this happened a couple of weeks ago and there was no salt down. We get 2 days rain over the weekend so that will wash away the salt so.......watch this space !

Great scenery, as usual. Loved the Fanny B, and the Cub sounded nice. Your Victor Meldrew impersonation is coming along nicely, but needs more practise. I think it is a great addition to the footage. Yep, roads are a bit slippery, but has to be expected for the time of the year. Extra caution required, not only for the road conditions but also unexpected artics and white van man. It's a pity Mr Hanrahan's colleagues didn't keep their mouths shut, we may not have lost so many fine young men at Goose Green. Finally the short rear mudguard, "this boy's a fool".

Glad my comments hit a nerve Steve - actually very sad the drug situation is as it is in USA and at least half of them will be republicans albeit it was a tongue in cheek comment designed to see if anyone over there was watching. Yes as someone else said, I had nearly 20 years of taking groups of Americans around the UK and they were all lovely people but they always wanted a chat about politics and I would wind them up a bit regardless of which end of the scale they came from. What was clear was they had an utter distain and loathing for each other - one trip I did was a "mixed" group of four, and politics was not allowed to be mentioned! You must have mates who voted labour? We don't have that kind of political conflict here, fortunately. As far as the UK is concerned you should not make any assumptions as to where my affiliations lie - I agree with Nige that things must change from the status quo but then are in agreement with many of Jeremy's polices - why are we paying money to the private sector, often foreigners, for our rail, telephone, water and power industries? I think you may have prompted me to do a video on this Steve!! Finally....the matter of WOKE.....not something you mentioned but if I had been "WOKEist" I would been too sensitive to mention the "deporables"! I am totally ANTI WOKE so where does all this put me? Qweer and his band have only been in charge a few months and have already effed things up but can't be blamed for everything? Can't see your bike properly - is it an SV? Hope you will watch the occasional video even if you've unsubscribed - I watch plenty of stuff put up by people I disagree with. Eg I used to hate Kate Hopkins but now I quite like her. Top marks for commitment, Rob; just the sort of conditions that I love to ride in - not! Nice to see the turnout though, and the Tiger Cub; not many around now in trials or scrambles trim. The London-registered Francis Barnett model 56 was a particularly-rare bird, though I'm surprised that it's only 74 years old, as it looks considerably older; it was built about the time I started school, so I guess that makes me ancient! 😉

The Francis Barnett was a living fossil, with its origins back in the 1930s and the design cues even earlier. Lovely little thing.

Yes, armchair ride for me also. No doubt about it, the FoD is a beautiful place to visit at this time of the year. Like you we visited Mallard Pikes and whilst there is no denying the superb scenery, unfortunately, the Forestry Commision's performance falls well short of the views. Dozens of signs threatening us about car parking but not a single sign informing us that both the Cafe & Toilets were closed. We had to pay to find that out. We found a super little cafe not far away near a Train Station (historic I think), who gave us a first class service with excellent fayre. No more FC for us, ever. Keep 'em coming Rob, loved it, well done.

Another enjoyable armchair ride for me Rob. I find when riding these glorious scenic country lanes which are narrow, the wet leaves, mud and gravel can be a thing to consider. However, the worst part is approaching a bend waiting for the proverbial 4 x 4 to come round too fast and then blaming me! 😝👍🏍 All the best NJ

Hi, I don’t think inappropriate at all. I rode my fairly old xmax250 from the midlands to Gibraltar and back twice. Cruising at 60-65. My old 250s in the 70s went to portugal Spain and France as well as scotland and Cornwall. 2 strokes too😂

Beg to differ - this was not a road where scooters could cruise at 60mph - I felt guilty about taking such roads when some had small wheeled bikes and in their 80s too!
