I’m so happy to find this video so that I can show people a glimpse of what it’s like to do a load in of this scale.

The name of the theatre is wrong in the description. This is the Morris Civic Auditorium in South Bend, morriscenter.org/ Love the video and that local crew is IATSE Local 187 South Bend who have served for over 100 years in the local theatres.

Thank you for the correction! They were an awesome local crew to work with on the show.

Too bad the Angel Moroni statue at the top of the proscenium and the upper scrim of the planets were obscured in this venue.

Really? The Australian tour has so far only been in Melbourne. They started around the start of this year and finishing November. Next stop would be Sydney for another year or so I'm sure... this would cost $$$$ and many man hours or days to disassemble and reassemble.
@georgechlada48687 жыл бұрын
John L a tours set is built to be reassembled and disassembled in a short span and with as little number of people as possible. The Australian tour might be different, though. I think each stop on the Australian tour is being treated as a sit down run, while here in the US most stops are a week long.

I think this might be the same tour that came to the theatre I work at and it looks like top of load in through sound check, so probably 7am-4pm or so.

@@johnl2124 it eventually came to the Lyric, in Sydney. Compared to the Broadway run, I spotted only one major set difference; the curtain for Spooky Mormon Hell Dream gets pulled offstage left, rather than through a trap door/hole beneath the stage.
