Other than 1st responders & stormchasers, I never understand how ppl can be outside, let alone out driving in something like this. I understand that ppl can get caught in it bc it started while they were already out, but otherwise, wtf wouldn't find they shelter or go in another direction? Had a pretty wicked storm where i live with trees being uprooted & or torn to bits, lots of damage. We were initially watching from our front window when all of a sudden a huge chunk of our very large & old tree came crashing down onto our deck. We all immediately ran to the basement at that point. I can't imagine how terrifying an actual tornado would be. Mother nature does not play.

I've heard tornadoes that have sounded like waterfalls, like someone using the vacuum one stall over from me at the car wash, like a choo-choo, all the way to a few that sounded more like a low-flying military jet in a pounding holding pattern right over my head. This was the first one that's sounded like ambient background music!

Great footage man! I was the loon driving across the bridge at 1:20. Glad a relatively minimal amount of structures were hit considering it persisted for ~20 minutes.

Multi-vortex tornado took Team Twistex from us. Way too unpredictable.

Nice catch, classic structure with all components clearly visible. I wonder if the RFD choked off the inflow, the parent cell seemed to increase in speed as the storm cycled.

Isn't it amazing? When a tornado is nearby, all traffic laws disappear. It happen dozens of times. Way too many vehicles on one road, running stop signs and red lights. All struggle to get the best money shots. That is why most people are on the roads. They want the videos. They don't monitor wind or any scientific measurements. Most do have cell phones and will call to warn cities, but most do not have 1st aid kits. It's quite easy to see. Most are chasing for the dollars.

Classic Dixie twister. High precipitation, low to the ground, and messy as heck.

Local spotter chaser. I called in that one northwest of town which probably got it warned. I drove like crazy but couldn't get down to this one until it went over Highlandville. If anybody wants to see it. I have a video on my channel.
