Thank you for sharing your journey! I'm 43 as well and waiting to get my zepbound. I noticed you mentioned that you love walking but can't while your kids are in the pool. Would it be possible to bring your walking pad outside to be next to them? Maybe build a simple platform so you're not on the grass 🤔 either way stellar progress!!

I would continue to take 7.5mg. Especially if you're having food noise. It may take a few weeks for the food noise to calm down once on it. I moved up from 5mg after having a lot of food noise as well. I've been on it for 3 months now and thinking it's time for me to move up to the 10mg as the food noise is returning. I've had ZERO side effects on 7.5mg. Whatever decision is best for you is what works! Just try not to be afraid to move up.

I too stayed on 5mg for a few months and when I went up to 7.5mg I was super concerned about side effects but NOPE! No difference between the 5 & 7.5! I still have 20lbs to lose and after being on 7.5 for 3 months, I've decided to move up to 10mg this next box.

Hi! I got it prescribed by my doctor and have it filled at Walgreens. You can also go through an online compounding pharmacy if your insurance doesn’t cover it or if you don’t have a primary doctor. If you went that route, it wouldn’t be called Zepbound since that’s Eli Lilly’s brand. If you go compounding route, it would be call tirzepatide, which is the active ingredient in Zepbound. Hope that helps. I really hope you can get started on it, it’s been a game changer for me. This video is 7 months old and I just recently did my 8th month update. I’m 148lbs now!! Let me know if you have any questions. I’d love to help any way I can. 🙏🏽💕💕

As a problem solver and strategic thinker, I was thinking of your problem of having limited time to work out. I do not homeschool so this may not be plausible. However, have you thought about incorporating exercise into the daily routine? Doesn’t have to be fancy but get all the kids involved in a 20 min sessions that Mommy and kids all do. It can be completely simplistic and after a week or two, I would delegate the task of figuring out the weekly exercises as a form of teaching leadership as well as re-enforcing good healthy habits to the older kids. I have a few ideas for possible activities but just thought I’d throw the idea out there. 😊
@2.0mommy2 күн бұрын
You’d make a great teacher!! That really is a wonderful idea but just being totally honest here, I don’t have the mental bandwidth to get them involved. There would be much weeping and gnashing of teeth. 😂 In theory it’s a great idea, and maybe if I was 10 years younger I’d feel optimistic about it, but I’m getting old and grouchy. 🙈😂 You really are a great problem solver and so nice of you to give this ANY thought. I really am touched. Thank you!!🥹🙏🏽💕💕

Hey! It’s been a while! Do you have more of the food noise? Or is it more appetite ? If it’s appetite, maybe eating more protein would help. I need to do better about eating more protein too. Did you stop losing? Or is it just going slow?
@brittanyadams87592 күн бұрын
@2.0mommy it's going really slow. It pretty much takes my appetite away
@2.0mommy2 күн бұрын
@ that’s good sign that you still have appetite suppression. Is it possible that you’re not eating enough? That will definitely slow your metabolism down and make weight loss slow.
@brittanyadams87592 күн бұрын
@2.0mommy i don't think i am eating enough. What is food noise. There's days im not even hungry. Been drinking alot of protein shakes. I know i tery to eat alot of protein. But what other foods am I suppose to be eating to help with my metabolism?
@2.0mommyКүн бұрын
@ food noise is when you’re constantly thinking about food, even if you just ate. If you’re having days when you’re not hungry and not eating too much then you’re probably not struggling with food noise. You probably shouldn’t go up in dose either if you’re not eating enough as it is. Have you tried tracking your calories so you know exactly how many calories you’re getting. If you’re not losing, you might be eating more than you realize or more than your body needs for fat loss. If it were me, I would try tracking calories before I went up in dose. Use a TDEE calculator to find out how many calories you should be eating for weight loss. You can google it and find free ones. They’ll have you enter your age, weight and activity level and then it’ll estimate how many calories you should eat a day for weight loss. Hope that helps!!

I can totally understand why you didn’t want to go up, especially since your end goal is to get off of the medication. As someone who doesn’t like feeling like I have to be on any medication, I get it. This is the only medication that I’ve ever felt like I’m ok with taking it for the rest of my life. You have been doing such an incredible job and you’ve come sooooo far and I’m really proud of you! I’m happy that you didn’t have any side effects this time around with the 7.5. I think you made the best decision doing what is best for you. As you said, all of our journeys are so different. Regarding the exercise, it’s helpful but what is most important is that you’re making good choices with your diet. ❤ I really believe that you getting Covid was the reason you lost the desire to do the 75 soft challenge. One takeaway is you have definitely been doing much better with your water intake and that was because of attempting the 75 soft challenge. I look at that as a win. The purpose of those challenges are to establish new habits and you did that. ❤❤❤❤❤ You’re not ridiculous at all. I’m sure many of us can relate to feeling discouraged when we have setbacks and giving up. I have done that way too many times to count. What great is that you’re self aware and you care. You will definitely be able to get back on the horse when you’re ready. Comparison is truly a thief of joy! Even when we’re comparing ourselves with ourselves. I totally agree with you, I would never and have never tried to make my youngest two feel bad about any weaknesses with homeschooling. My youngest missed the social aspect of school and really wanted to be in marching band so I let her go back and she’s thriving. My almost 17 year old loves the online homeschool program and she has no desire to go back. lol Congratulations on getting to the 140’s, such a significant milestone! Also, you setting small sustainable goals will have you back on track in no time! Sending you tons of love and positive energy. You’ve got this! 🧘🏾♀️❤

Hi Jill! A couple of things in terms of my journey: I don’t look at 7.5 as a “bridge” to 10. I’ve been on it since July and it’s getting me to my goal weight and keeping the food noise away. Around October I realized that stomach injections were not as effective for me any longer. Maybe all the stretch marks? The second thing is that I believe I have a chronic disease (obesity) and a hormone deficit (glp-1). My entire life I have had food noise and battled food and weight and my body. Therefore, I’m not planning on going off these meds. I will titrate down to whatever dose my body needs to keep me regulated without losing. I know it’s going to be trial and error but the freedom I feel on these meds have changed my life. I support you and your choices in your journey. Just wanted to add to the conversation. I just picked up my weights again and they are too heavy for me now. I’m just going to do my best! 🩷 thank you Jill!
@2.0mommy2 күн бұрын
That’s wonderful that 7.5 is still working for you!! I know we’ve talked about this before, but does your insurance cover it? I really hope the Pfizer version comes out soon and drives prices lower. It’s so expensive and I feel for those that pay out of pocket. You bring up an interesting point when you explained why you’ll be on this for life. I think it really does come down to being glp1 deficient or not. In your case you mentioned you always had food noise and battled your weight, so that leads you to believe you’ve been deficient in this hormone all along. I agree with that. In my case, I didn’t have these issues until about 15 years ago. Not saying that doesn’t mean I’m not deficient now, but just hoping that maybe I can get things working probably again without the medication. I won’t know if that’s possible until I wean myself off. It’s like you said, trial and error. 😂It’s all very interesting to me. I’m just so happy we’re able to use this as a tool. It’s a great time to be alive!! 🙏🏽💕 Ps. In case it wasn’t coming across the way I intended it (texting has that tendency lol) I just mean to add to the discussion too. ☺️ Have a great weekend! Oh almost forgot! Good for you getting those weights out again! They’ll soon feel as light as bags of cottons balls to you!! 💪🏽🔥🔥🔥

Jill-just saw the end of your video. 1 lb a week is amazing for being this close to goal weight! That’s what I’m averaging, although some weeks a little less. I’m 5’3 and just got into the 140’s recently. I haven’t been in 140s in over 20 years and was only there once as an adult. And it didn’t last. I’m now 146. Size 10 jeans and most shirts are smalls, coats are mediums. Sizing is so wonky! My provider suggested a few more lbs as goal, but that wouldn’t get me out of the “oversight” category. Silly, I know. But I’d like to see “normal” next to my stats. 🩷

Thank you! We definitely are our own worst critics. 💕💕
@2.0mommy3 күн бұрын
@pinkfix777 I totally get what you’re saying and can understand wanting to get into the “normal” category even if your dr recommends just a few more lbs. I just entered the normal range when I broke 150, but I want to get closer to the lower end of normal. That’ll give me some wiggle room to have my weight fluctuate and still be good. Id say keep going and you’ll know when you get there!! 🙏🏽💕💕

@2.0mommy3 күн бұрын
Hi!! I’ve heard different things about this. I’ve heard that some insurances don’t let you stay on 2.5 because it’s considered a loading dose and not therapeutic. But someone just left a comment here saying she’s been on 2.5 for a year!! I think it really just depends. It shouldn’t matter if your doctor is fine with it, but insurance companies hold all the power. I would make sure your doctor knows that you want to stay on 5mg so she doesn’t automatically move you up. How long have you been on 5mg?
