I have the exact grill for a few years now and I love it. I bought it at REI new for $50. It was returned by previous owner because it was damaged during shipping. Just minor stuff. One of the 4 feet was a little bent but I was able to bend it back to place and the carrying case has a little dent which is just cosmetic. I just bought the new griddle made for this grill and It’s great! The flames of the grill started to get uneven in size so I cleaned it with WD-4 and toothpick which it did an OK job. What do you guys use to clean this grill when it gets clogged? A degreaser?

Oooohhh, you use the extra spaces as a closet. Brilliant. Our Solis Pocket has no storage space of that sort and it's starting to bug me. I use storage cubes and they're crammed in the overhead cupboards, but there's no place to hang a heavy jacket that's out of the way. I'm looking seriously at a Solis P National Park hardtop and currently trying to get the husband on board. That would at least give us the bathroom for jackets.

Cool let me know how it goes. I've since added a 120V 15Amp outlest on my drive which I now use but it only provides 5 miles per hour of charge. That works for us because we generally drive under 20 miles of distance per day.

We moved from a travel trailer to the Solis (family of 4) and it was one of our best decisions EVER. So much flexibility, allows us to go anywhere, anytime with almost no limitations. We plan what we want to do without thinking twice or making any considerations for the RV, and can change plans on the dime. Easy to drive, park, and has absalutely EVERYTHING anyone REALLY NEEDs. We love it. Thanks for the videos!

@LaurieandBillRetired
@LaurieandBillRetired 4 ай бұрын
Hi John! As to charging your Eco Flow which is a fine product I believe you'll only get between 120 and 240 watts out of the 12V car outlet when the engine is running. So depending on how much you discharged your Eco Flow it may take a while. On the BougeRV fridge / freezer here is a link to the first video we produced on the product kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4LcnICkgcp-prcsi=mJgQ_L_ORJTNLjLk I mistakenly said the "no step" emblem was a wireless charger. Also I was not clear that you can run the BougeRV in either freezer mode or fridge mode but not both at the same time. The video will show however how we transport the BougeRV 53 QT fridge / freezer in our Solis.

Hi, Bill- Greeting from across the Bay in Walnut Creek. Thanks for the review! I'm leaning towards getting a similar competitor, the Gas One which is dual fuel. I replaced my Coleman tabletop butane burner with a dual fuel Gas One and it's working quite well, so I think their grill will be the next move. I gave my last grill away because it was too hefty and I hardly ever used it. This I think I might actually use. With the dual fuel ones you can also use refillable propane bottles - or even hook it up to your RV propane system, I believe. And you can buy the green propane canisters anywhere - sometimes it's hard to find butane canisters. So thanks for doing a review to demo how well these girls work. I'm impressed that the butane gets so hot so fast! But I actually came over here to ask you a question about your Solis. I'm thinking about ordering a hardtop P and I wanted to ask you if you were able to find one on a lot or if you special ordered yours? And if you ordered it, about how long did it take to get it in? For us the 19 foot P with an air conditioner would be just perfect. We had a Travato, I hated it, we downsized to a Solis Pocket and it's not working out for my 6'2" husband. I think we overshot there and I think the P might be the perfect Goldilocks solution. The Travato was too long for us. It was just hard to park it when we went into town. And the Pocket is a lovely nimble little thing, but 'little' is the operative word. I'm willing to admit my mistake and move on. And I think a hardtop P with A/C would be perfect. Thanks. Trish

Hi Trish, we purchased our 59PX hardtop in April 2021 off the lot at RecVan in Fremont, California. It was during the pandemic and due to supply chain issues Winnebago could not get the tent tops they needed so they started kicking out hardtops. There have been a few times I wished the 59PX was a 59P 😉 but overall we really enjoy and make use of the extra storage space. I hope you find what you are looking for on the lot and thank you for dropping a comment. Much appreciated. ~ Bill

@@LaurieandBillRetired Interesting! So they couldn't get the pop tops. You lucked out. I just got a price from RecVan for a special order Solis P National Park model that was full list price. No discounts. I imagine if they want the sale, they'll discount it some, but that certainly wasn't on the invoice they just sent me! I did see a discounted NPF flattop model at the RecVan in Florida a few weeks ago, but that's just too far to make any sense. And it's gone now anyway, so it's moot. But if you special order, you've got no leverage to bargain. Arghh! Thanks for the response! (BTW, I have a spare 9 inch steel domed lid if you haven't already found something for your grill. It's not huge, but it would probably fit over two chicken breasts. I accidentally ordered two of them on Temu and I only need one, so I'm happy to pass one on. If you're not in a hurry, my downstairs neighbor is from San Mateo and her son lives there and there are frequent visits and I could probably get it to you if you're not in a hurry.)

Grilled 2 small ribeye steaks on this stove recently and while the finished steaks turned out great the grease from the fat only made it about 1/3 of the way down the slanted grease chute before overflowing into the inside of the grill creating a huge mess. Grill was on a level surface and ambient air temperature was in the 50 degree range so I have no idea why the liquified fat did no flow down the grease chute into the drip pan. Seems like the adjustable stove legs should be moved to the fuel can side of the grill to increase the grease chute angle away from that end so that grease will not pool and overflow at the top of the chute. Had to disassemble the grill to remove the overflowed grease from inside. What a mess and hassle.
@LaurieandBillRetired
@LaurieandBillRetired 6 ай бұрын
Fortunately we've not had an issue. I make sure the drip pan sysyem is properly seated after each cleaning. I do notice most of the grease accumulates on the first drip pan under the grill however but that is easy to wipe up once the stove cools and before I place it back in our van.

Good video but a quarter of all heat is to get the crock pot warm. Also having something running at low wattage for a long time is not that efficient. I use a small rice cooker with my 500 w power station and that seems very efficient. As the pot itself is not hard to heat up and it only runs for 25 minutes in total. Makes great stews and curries

I have 4 bikes with 1ups RakAttach swing arm. It is a long setup. I have heard rumors the stock hitch can bend the chassis tabs. My setup does bounce a lot so I am concerned. Landed Gear sells a stiffener but the Curt 13207 is cheaper and has 600lb tongue weight (and bolts to the frame instead of the body tabs). I haven't yet found anyone that has tried the Curt 13207 on the Solis. I will give it a shot. BTW, I have the 59p so I don't have a generator in place of the spare tire. It will most likely fit on the 50p but not the 50px.

Hi Bill, I found that the class 3 Curt 13207 will not fit the Solis as the exhaust pipe bends towards the driver side while the Promaster it is straight and points down. The exhaust pipe would need to be modified. I wonder why Winnebago did this. Aesthetics? Or they wanted to point the fumes away from the back doors as this is a sleeping area?

The NEMA TT-30 receptacle can be easily converted to a 30 amp 240 volt NEMA 6-30 outlet. This will double your charging speed. One only needs to replace the receptacle and the circuit breaker. The existing wire run back to your panel can be reused.

Purchased a RAZOR products 3-IN-1 Griddle Dome ($35) from Sportsmans Warehouse today to use with the "Eureka! SPRK Camp Grill". The RAZOR Griddle Dome is a bit smaller (~8 5/8" X 11 3/8") than the Eureka! SPRK Camp Grill surface (~10 1/8" X 12 3/4") but it sits nicely on top of the grill and is heavy enough to not be affected by normal wind. The RAZOR Griddle Dome is all stainless steel, has a flat semi-recessed dome handle, and comes with a silicone storage lid which allows the Griddle Dome to be used as a storage container as well as a griddle dome. Always like products that perform multiple functions. Will probably store cooking accessories (Dish soap, soft sponge, dish towel, etc.) inside the Griddle Dome until I need to use it on the camp grill. Before finding this product I was just going to use one of those lightweight throw away aluminum baking pans but was concerned that wind would blow it around. The RAZOR Griddle Dome also sits well on top of the Eureka! SPRK+ Camp Stove optional griddle. Doesn't fit perfectly but will serve my needs just fine. Would be nice if Eureka would offer their own griddle lid. @@LaurieandBillRetired

Your Tesla screen shows charging at 13 miles/hr. @30amps. With 14-50 plug connected to your mobile charger, the tesla system thinks it can charge at the full capacity of the charger or up to 32 amps. Since the TT-30 RV plug is rated for 30amps, the sustained charging requires that the charger be reduced to 24 amps max. This can be adjusted on the Tesla screen. When properly de-rated to 24 amps you will likely charge at 9 or 10 miles/hr. not 13.
