If the bears all time defense, and packers all time offense combined, that would be a pretty damn scary team.

The other teams in the NFL don't struggle to develop QBs, that implies they try. When you take a 21 year old who's never played football against adults and throw them to the wolves right away, you aren't "developing" anything. Draft em, sit em, and enjoy the benefits. It's like baking. If you don't leave the cake in the oven, it's gonna be batter.

In short, Tom Clements. QB Guru. The long version is tom clements plus never going all in to win a championship and letting the QBs sit.

People forget that the guy Brett Favre replaced (Don Majkowski) finished 2nd in the 1989 MVP race. So the run of great qb play goes back even further than Brett

Holmgren left the Packers around in 1998 after their Super Bowl loss, and the Packers went through at least two head coaches before McCarthy.
@robertvaughn7796Күн бұрын
Mike Holmgren left Green bay in 1999 or 2000. There were 2 Coaches in Green Bay between Holmgren and Mike McCarthy who took over in the 2004 season. McCarthy stayed all the way till 2018.

You have a few mistakes in your video. You should probably go over you stuff before you post. I can see one mistake but when you make multiple mistakes while trying to explain something on your point of view. That's not to good. I for one min 30 sec into video and honestly I'm not going to watch anymore.

I also like what they did this draft, just double up on positions you need. They got 3 O Line, 2 LBs, 3 Safety’s, a RB, a backup QB, and a CB.

Why do some people in the comments mistakenly think that a team starting a back up QB due to injury to their number one starter or due to game play strategy (like sitting your starters before going to the playoffs if you can ) is the same thing as being a team's number one starting QB? Matt Flynn, for example, played when Aaron Rodger's broke his collarbone but Aaron Rodgers was always the number one QB. So there's a huge difference between having to start a back up QB for a few games and the team's number one starting QB. It's very rare that a Brett Favre or Tom Brady will come along to step in for an injured number one QB and end up permanently taking his place.
@zor20145 күн бұрын
Exactly bro. I’ve had to mention this so many times
@tedl2711Күн бұрын
Well with Brett Favre starting so many continuous games. We consider even backups starting a different qb starting a game. Here in Packerland we follow the wording of the phrase starting qb. And that makes a few more than 3. Sure they were just fill ins but we have to count every starter possible
@mattdeaver685023 сағат бұрын
Absolutely. But when you say the Browns have had 30 different qbs over that time period, you're counting every single qb that started a game, including due to injury. Why are you only counting those starts when the Browns have them?

I like how the greatest dichotomy of QB play is straight with Green Bay. Favre threw a billion INT's and Rodgers threw basically none. Yet both basically had the same success. INT's are overrated.
@aaronseitz6783Күн бұрын
At least there’s another person that agrees INT’s are overrated. Yeah Favre holds the INT rec of 336 but divide that by his 10,169 pass attempts you’ll get 3.3% chance of interception Peyton manning threw almost 100 less INT’s and his 256 divide by 9,380 gives a 2.6% of interception So yes you make a great point INTs are overrated especially when you compare the numbers of Rodger’s vs Brady there dam near identical when Brady has thrown 100 more INTs
@ohghee6 күн бұрын
I mean, the packers have started other qbs. Matt flynn and Brett Hundley immediately come to mind. They just werent long time starters 🤷
@zor20146 күн бұрын
Long starters and guys they tried to build a team around. Think of teams drafting and tryna build around a qb and ditchin em after year 2 or 3
@randytyrell57646 күн бұрын
I believe the packers had 8 starting quarterbacks over that time, due to injury and non important games. Also the packers didn't draft Farve. Last Rodgers and Love are both 1st round picks. So they we know. Rodgers was thought to go top 5. Now I am a packers fan. Was the packers have shown is great coaching, correct scouting, and development.

Ok, notable starters if that works better for you. I mention malik willis but hes not a starter. Scott hunter is not notable enough to be called a starter in my books. Brett favre aaron rodgers and Jordan love are the guys. This ain’t Cleveland bro

I’ve been a broncos fan my whole life I believed in him and I’m really hoping this is the guy bc we need someone to beat the chiefs in this division
@chandlerblachut38788 күн бұрын
Aaron rodgers is overrated. I’ve been saying it for years. If you put Aaron Rodgers from 2010-2015 on the lions, they would’ve been the worst team in the nfl and no one would remember him. Imagine needing a top 5 offense and defense to lose in the playoffs like 7 times. Truly he was the MVP. If Matthew stafford went to the packers in 2009 they’d have won at least 4 Super Bowls

I think they successfully developed Jordan Love! Even if he doesn’t reach a truly elite level, he has shown he can be “temporarily elite” at minimum. And he certainly has a long career ahead of him (knock on wood.)
