A massive choke by Toulon, they should have been up by 15 or 20 points before Wilkinson injury and completely collapsed after that

From a time when Welsh Club Rugby mattered before the regions ripped the Heart & Soul out of Welsh Rugby. I miss Stradey 😢

That was a hell of a performance by Cardiff Blues, they defended like trojans in the first half and held their nerve. After Wilkinson went off Cardiff smelled blood and turned the screws.

Watched my first ever live match here- a pre season 'friendly' between Scarlets and London Welsh when I was a kid getting on for 60 years ago. And so many other memories over the years, going with family members who, like Stradey itself are no longer with us. I was the fourth generation of my family to watch- the first was my great grandfather who was a tinplate worker (called Dai- always liked to think it was him we were singing about). One of my uncles played a couple of games for Scarlets just before going into the army in WW2.

most pros (or rugby players in general) don't wear any form of body/shoulder pads. only a gumshield and maybe 15% wear a head guard.

All he said was that he had 'massive guns'. At no stage did he say something like, 'Sonny Bill's massive guns helped make that hit'

Lol funny how the commentator talks about his "massive guns" doing all the work even though the hit was all shoulder.

Because it was such a turning point in the match. I was there, & when Wilkinson went off the match totally swung in Cardiff's favour, especially as Toulon had no other specialist in the 23

Why does Wilkinson's injury make the highlights?
@120792owen
@120792owen 8 жыл бұрын
Because it really was the turning point. Toulon were just taking control but then he went off. They had no other 10 on the bench & Cardiff really took charge.

Man why aren't they wear any protection gears...I know it a manly sport but shit I don't care how big and strong you are, you will get hurt if someone as big as you are tackling you...but this is way better than football...

Lomu has greater mass, velocity, and acceleration...
@kaino1990
@kaino1990 12 жыл бұрын
He is more powerful therefore, as we are measuring velocity from a static POV. All theory anyway, Lomu could be slower/less acceleration than SBW, who knows? All I know is that if you don't understand what I wrote then you probably shouldn't be attacking people on the internet. I am about to finish my degree in sports science and am already accepted to study my masters at USYD (sounds silly saying it on the internet). Unless you have higher credentials than me, you will be always be beaten.

People who win arguments properly actually win them, rather than just saying they've won them. You havent, you are shit. HO HO HO

And no, you didnt use inexact terms, you used the wrong ones, as I've shown. WRONG. And all this from a guy who is so sure of himself and is actually studying the subject. Waheyeyeyyeye
@kaino1990
@kaino1990 12 жыл бұрын
I will explain it as simple as I can so your minuscule brain can comprehend what I am writing. Lomu, faster on the track, yes(velocity)? Both agree on that. Hes probably stronger too (subject to debate, as he throws his weight around with speed). Power = Force (measured in Newtons, mass x acceleration) x Velocity (speed with a direction ie. a vector quantity) SBW shifts his mass, in a shorter amount of time (static, not a kinetic/in an instant).

Funny you mention these rookie errors, yet you still havent managed to point one out? And your comment below is laughable- "not smart enough to read past my mistakes"- if you had any brains you wouldnt be making them in the first place. hahahah
@kaino1990
@kaino1990 12 жыл бұрын
And as for me not moving on, I well and truly did but you had to make a snide comment 8 months afterwards as I wrote, I obviously confused you by using the inexact terms (my apologizes as you weren't smart enough to read past the mistakes).

It's one useful formula, yes, because momentum is important in rugby. It is not, however, the formula for power, is it? You dumb fuck.

You reply quicker because in the real world you don't reply to an argument 8 months after, people have moved on by then and it makes you look like a spastic (you are a spastic). I could assume it took you 8 months just to find the knowledge to try and answer back, but I'm not studying how to be a personal trainer at TAFE like you are and I have a clue.
@kaino1990

lol must be trolling, power is exerting a maximal load of force in the shortest interval of time. Lomu being faster than sonny bill and stronger doesnt make him more powerful, you pleb get a clue
@HighRenaissanceMan

SBW is nowhere near as explosive as Lomu. Lomu was both faster and stronger, making him more powerful, durrrr

The definition of a principality is "A state ruled by a prince". The prince who claims to be the prince of Wales is actually English and has absolutely no control over our country whatsoever, which means that we are most definitely not a principality. Go and check out the FAQ on the Wales.com and see question 11.
