This looks 4x better than V/Verdict Day's default maps. I can actually SEE shit, I'm actually seeing 60 frames! There isn't a bunch of grainy garbage cluttering the screen. Why did Gen 5 have to be so bad that a fan can vastly improve it in less than a year?

What settings did you have for the emulator when you did this? I haven't been able to get mine to run nearly this nicely.

The emulator is only running 30fps max, the frame generation is making it look smoother. Settings for the emulator are pretty complex as well as having a few mods to in-game visual effects. One of the biggest performance improvements we made very recently is a mod in combination with a graphics setting. We removed the sun from every map (just the big glare object, overall lighting is unaffected) which allows us to use "Relaxed ZCULL" to slightly improve performance. I think I saw folks in the discord talking about this the other day. Is there a finalized yes/no on whether or not this is stable for general use, and does it require any particular pc specs?

It's $7 on steam. It's just an app that runs independently of RPCS3, not sure what the system requirements would be but if you have a decent GPU I suspect it would be fine. It adds a very slight overhead on my 3080 in conjunction with the 4K upscale that RPCS3 is doing. I only used the frame generation function in Lossless Scaling, not it's scaling function.

I wish we got more support for ACV, i miss the sound design. Everything felt so heavy. Seeing this just makes me wonder what FromSoftware couldve done had they have continued support for this. I know the team has been wanting to work on Armored Core for the longest time. Which is why i was hyped for 6. I still play the shit out of it. I just miss that multiplayer that we had on V and Verdict Day where we had territories and such. Clan wars were fucking awesome.

some designs seem familiar to AC6. the Grids concept, the Xylem control center, the watchpoint control room before Balteus. This stage was Rejected in V, retook in 6 I guess.

What I'd give to have fights like that exist in AC6, hell AC in general. City scaled metal titans blasting on all fronts while you and your team, and whatever AI assistance is there, have to duke it out against that monster of a weapon...

We need to solve the m040.evd file which is mission event script. The mission just fails due to "defenses compromised" at the start so we will need to edit the mission script fail state or something to proceed. I used the AC test evd file for this video, since there is no fail state, you can just go. I don't think anyone has done any work on the AC versions of these files. All the soulsborne versions are solved but I am not a programmer so idk how difficult of a task this will be.
