???? Unknown Facility in Armored Core V

Found this hiding in ACV as map m0400
There is concept art of this area in the FACT art book. This is a google translation of the description on that page:
"A mysterious facility where only video materials have been discovered. It appears to be an underground facility with a vast area and built quite deep. Since the machines visible inside the facility are unknown, it is assumed that the facility was built in the past."
RPCS3 has some visual bugs with ACV so there is some texture popping

I wish we got more support for ACV, i miss the sound design. Everything felt so heavy. Seeing this just makes me wonder what FromSoftware couldve done had they have continued support for this. I know the team has been wanting to work on Armored Core for the longest time. Which is why i was hyped for 6. I still play the shit out of it. I just miss that multiplayer that we had on V and Verdict Day where we had territories and such. Clan wars were fucking awesome.

I'm more amazed you got this running on RPCS3 so smoothly I got VD running fine but I can't even get past the opening mission in ACV

I figured out how to solve the crashing issue with V as well. It's the same concept as VD but needs a couple more files. We're working on finalizing an emulator pack or an add-on to the existing pack for V over in the discord

V on RPCS3 has some serious visual bugs which you could see in the video but VD isn't as bad and runs well if you have relatively strong modern PC hardware

That last room at the end is absolutely a boss fight area, but some RAM hacking might be required to see if it has any collision inside. I bet the reason you're standing on air is because you're actually standing on what's supposed to be inaccessible due to a cutscene trigger volume, and on the other side the chamber's got a roof or so.

There is an unused boss enemy referenced in the map files but not actually placed in the map. It looks like a mini Exusia maybe? I'm going to try and load it into another map to see if it works.

So when does restoring this mission become viable? This level must of been cut super later considering it looks 85% finished.

We need to solve the m040.evd file which is mission event script. The mission just fails due to "defenses compromised" at the start so we will need to edit the mission script fail state or something to proceed. I used the AC test evd file for this video, since there is no fail state, you can just go. I don't think anyone has done any work on the AC versions of these files. All the soulsborne versions are solved but I am not a programmer so idk how difficult of a task this will be.
