Great video. We have inherited the same bread maker, however ours didn't come with the measuring cup, so i am not sure now how much flour in grams comes in a singe cup in order to follow the recipe. Can someone please just clarify the correct measure in grams. Many thanks.

Thanks Tommy for a lovely video of Barrhead, so many places I remember from when I was a kid running around Barrhead, I moved away in 82 and now aged 60, my grandparents and parents lived in Barrhead and worked there too, I still have family and visit when possible, now living south in the Cotswolds, seems older you get the more you reminisce on the past and memories had, good to see the central cafe, the brig inn and Arthurlie inns, I remember there being a Ford car garage by the Arthurlie inns and the George cinema but sadly gone , thank you again, Mitchell 👍👍

Even a shithole like Barrhead looked better back in the old days. It's a shame it don't now. It's psychoville now.

Just made a batch of these today and OMG, almost as good as I remember, I'm going to make a slight change to recipe next time by changing the butter for lard and reducing sugar slightly as taste is slightly different for me, but the texture colour everything else was there for me, ive tried several Scottish rolls recipes and for me this beats them all hands down, mine came out just the way i like them well fired but soft after they have cooled, perfect for fried egg roll, knocked it out the park Tommy thanks so much, I also done a slight dusting of rice flour to give them that sandpaper feel amazing

Brilliant Tommy. A piece of Barrhead history preserved . Cross roads still there at the top of Springhill Rd. Trees and our countryside still there. Our countryside started at the old railway on Springhill Rd. Springhill School still called that . It was called that for a reason until some idiot decided to change the name! You should do the same run now and we would be able to see the utter devastation of our countryside that was put together with no infrastructure to back it up. Well done Tommy.

Thank you for posting these pictures of Barrhead, great seeing a lot of the places around the town , I moved away down south in the early eighties now living in the Cotswolds, I saw one picture on the sides of Leggat plant hire, I’m sure my father did his apprenticeship there as a coach builder many yrs ago, I still get back to Barrhead to visit family, 👍

Those springy egg cups are absorbing some of the energy of the hammerstroke. Also, you need to firmly press the cup onto the egg, not 'just rest it' as you suggested 😉
