@koiwatergardens 11 days ago The fish get fed 1.2kg of food PER DAY, Regardless of what food you feed (and in this case Its Saki Hikari which is the best food on the market) it will cloud the water some what. Hence the purpose of the video is cleaning the filters to regain the clairty. If we cut down the food, or totally stop for two days then gin clear water is achieved again - however this is the final push in the growing season, so water clarity is sacrificed for better growth on the koi. I hope that this breif explanation clarifies a few things.

Hi big ben the pond is looking fantastic and the garden well mate that has matured very nicely your setup is one of the best I've seen oase pumps drum and filters in my opinion they are the best on the market . all them koi are packing on the wait keep the videos coming 👍

Love this pond. Is there a reason why you dont aerate the jap mat in the last chamber?

Because we have 120L of air per minute being added in the chamber before and therefore sufficient aeration is provided as the jap mat pulls the water through

We always recommend monthly maintenance, We then change the UV bulb every 6 months so they run efficiently

Very beautiful pond and installation. Are the all returns 50MM ? , this will reduce the flow off the pumps very strongly. Tho you know how much M3 water is effectivly pumped per hour. Thanks, melle

I know this pond and the fish inside!! Just watch out for the dog 😂😂, absolutely lovely place to be in the summer 👍👍.. (a good few years back it had a bridge going over it so you could stand on top and look down)

You can find some really high quality koi at some of these small koi breeds they still go the extra mile where in the commercial world for the big boys time is money and everybody wants their time which they don't seem to have
