Listening to this again-and this is something I’ve heard many times before-actively looking for disconfirming evidence is just a bias in the other side. The goal should be to seek the truth. I’m 100% positive this has caused the firm to miss many quality opportunities given the human ego’s unconscious desire to find the best idea and thus put down others’. I have no idea why you would want to seek out negatives rather than just find the truth.

Excellent discussion. It’s helping me reflect on my immature/impatient approach to investing, which has worked, but not great. I’m too impatient. I have a lot to learn and a good amount of cash on the sidelines like many people. Thankfully(I guess) the markets have been quite angry for weeks and seems to be producing some better entrance points.
