Most updates are on the Discord server for the game. We know that the enemies, layout and tileset stuff have been largely completed for most of the stages now except the Fortress stages.

Area completion is currently sitting at 80%. JKB himself hasn't streamed for months (possibly because of endgame stuff), but i've seen other devs do spriting streams.

I think most people are getting tired of waiting for this game's long development period, but that's not a legitimate reason to criticize the game or its developers. Don't get tired of waiting, just forget about this game for now and get on with your life. Then one day this game will be released.

Its also taking on a similar concept to the ZX games (or metroidvania in general) in the X style, with some extra mechanics added from the older games and newer mechanics, so it makes sense when that's taken into account too

No, this is not a ROM hack or for any emulator. It is a standalone game made in Haxe that will run in any modern web browser, though they plan on making a .exe version too.

Yes actually. They've recently finished up the layout and enemies for Cyber Lab (Warp Vulpex's stage). The devs are also hard at work on various end game content which is being kept as a surprise.

@@cornelreparatii The main thing to remember is the devs do have lives. I imagine if they could dedicate all of their time to it, it would have been out years ago but life doesn't play fair sometimes. I think we'll be seeing it within the next few though...since this video launched a lot of progress was made...stages like Cyber Lab and the final levels are making progress towards completion.

First of all I keep seeing videos of working gameplay. Second, it’s still not done I think the only thing they need to do is figure out what is gonna make the levels easier for the medium and easy difficulty and what’s gonna make it harder for insane and extreme mode but please just make easy mode and publish it everyone’s waiting for the game and you can start updating it and adding more difficulty one new difficulty per update the game looks finished but I know you gotta make easy mode then publish it and please make a mobile release 2 years after your steam release which I think steam is gonna be the first place to play it I don’t have videogame devices from the 21st century only an iPad.

The Forgotten Pipeworks very much inspired by Chemical Plant Zone from Sonic 2, I think. ( '-')b Also, is that a Ninja Turtle bot!?!?! One thing I don't like about this game is the soundtrack. It's not that it's bad, but it's just trying too hard to sound like Mega Man X music. I felt the same way about Mega Man 4 through 6. The new boss music is much better than the original Maverick theme though! It really screws up my brain that X enters the Maverick stages from the right...
