I was on QE2 Sept 2003 Eastbound then for Xmas I was on QM2 Dec 2004 when we met QE2 in the Carribean and "danced" with her for a while. Commodore Chris Wells was our Captain and I was honoured to have sat at his table. Today I cannot decide which ship I preferred, QE2 or QM2. Was just on QM2 last week.

I like QE 2 better than queen mary 2 QE 2looks more beautiful on the outside I like the bridge back further from the bow makes the ship look nicer Queen marry 2 bridge is to close to the bow of the ship almost like a cruise ship were the bridge is almost on the tip of the bow

At 2:20 this is the horn of the Queen Mary 2 and at 2:46 is the horn of Queen Elizabeth 2, witch replies.

The Fireboat saluting at the 1:00 minute mark (& which you zoom in) is the FIREFIGHTER, proud 1938-built William Francis Gibbs design. Same year the first QUEEN ELIZABETH was launched.

It's common knowledge that the QUEEN MARY 2 was built in France by Chantiers De l'Atlantique at St Nazaire! Are you trying to inform us something that the majority are aware of!

LOL I loved QE2's whistle...when that reverb starts, it's deafening and she lets you know who the REAL Queen of The Seas has been and always will be! I miss the ol' girl so much!

How odd to see this, I was on for the 2004 Tandem Crossing with QM2 when she was brand new, weird to think this was their last one together...that's only a few short years' difference! QE2's whistle brings tears to my eyes, no lie. She was a HUGE part of my teenage years, and I had the passenger decks memorized like the back of my hand. I miss that ship, but I'm glad something finally came of her and they at LONG last opened her up as an hotel a couple years back. Truly a legend. QM2 is coming along nicely in her own right, however (I was just on her in October, she's definitely developed a character since I was on her in 2004). But there will always be only one Queen Of The Seas, and that's Queen Elizabeth 2! Thanks for the wonderful footage, by the way, this is some of the best from that crossing I've seen on here!

Sailed on the QM2 twice and I love her. She really does hold a special place in my heart. But QE2 is the last true built in Britain ocean liner. Magnificent

I was aboard this final sail. When QE2 sounded her horns, the echoes where haunting-bouncing off the buildings of lower Manhattan and the towers of NJ's coast. I remember it being a bittersweet moment.

This should not be happening...big cats should not be touched or hand fed...they would never allow you to do this in the wild and it sets a bad example for others...they are not pets and should not be portrayed as such...is this facility accredited through the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries? Doubtful...please change your policy to a no touch policy before someone including the cats gets hurt.

It was possible to touch,hug and stroke some lions ( not white) in Park Lions Taigan in Crimea,Russia for 7 years.Of course ,lions will never allow any body to touch in the wild, but it is possible in Parks Safari.Kevin Richardson,Oleg Zubkov they are able to do a lot of thing you will not belive.

QE2 is such a beautiful ship. One of the biggest regrets I have is not getting the chance to sail on her. I was lucky enough to go on board while she was in Southampton in 1994 after her refit in Bremerhaven, and have always treasured the memories of that experience because it felt like being on board a proper ocean liner. She's recently opened in Dubai as a floating hotel and many of her interior spaces have been kept as they were in 2008 when she retired, so I hope to go and visit her again soon :)

A mate of mine worked on the plumbing of QE 2 when it was built on the river Clyde Scotland .RIP Col Cougan .

Yes, enjoying the QE2's magnificent lines which are a lot nicer than that of the new cruise ships today but not as nice as the old Cunard Queens. I always thought this ship should have had two funnels more traditionally shaped.

Yes, thanks form pointing this out. QE2 horn is far more distinctive than the QM2. The QM2 horn sounds like it's from a tin horn unlike the QE2 which is deep and resonant.

Hand Feeding finde ich nicht so schön für die löwen,und das die denn löwen noch ärgern muss, finde voll daneben.Würde es bestimmt auch nicht mögen eingesperrt zu werden, und dann noch mit der hand gefüttert werden, und nebenbei noch ärgern, man könnte ein bisschen mehr mitgefühl zeigen.
