Hey! Can I know for your export footage process, are you exporting the LOG footages from Blackmagic app, and then from Album app you just Airdrop to your computer and import to any editing software will do? For iphone LOG, do we need to use any conversion lut before proceed to color grade the footage? or straightaway can color grade?

@@zekhor1140 you can airdrop from the app straight to your computer. I usually dump them from the app to ssd. If you know how to grade LOG footage, you don’t need to use conversion lut, it’s just one convenient/ faster way to do it.

@@JirehUbaldo I don’t have a specific LUT. But with food you want it to be as natural as possible yet vibrant in color. Try watching shows like chef’s table as reference

Your lut looks amazing in black magick, compered to a apple log to rec709 lut that I have also transfered to the phone. But im wondering, can this lut be used inside Davinci Resolve, or is it just used to "bake" into the footage when recording on the iphone in BM? I think what im asking if you use the LUT in your editing process, or if you follow the procedure in the power grade video? Again I want to thank you for sharing your passion for cinematography with noobs like us, so that we can find the same joy.

@@nw-diver appreciate it, man! You can use the LUT in post and tweak it to your liking. Although, compared to grade it from scratch with my power grade, it’s not as flexible.

It's a great solution to a problem that shouldn't exist. Phones are very useful tools and i wish more companies would more companies would quit wasting everyone's time and money and just add micro SD back as a standard feature.

@@lennycrantor4922 the only thing is that 15 doesn’t support prores log. But you still can get similar results. Lower the lut strength in post

This is wicked cool, however the main reason to use an external SSD is not to extend the storage but more so to record at ProRes 4k60. I know the iPhone 16 Pro’s can now do this, but the feature was introduced with the 15 Pro series.

@@Moustapha.Diongue imo nd is the make or break, i would rather have nd and not the other accessories. Without nd the shutter can be really fast and the video will become too sharp in motion

@@iRe5_iPhoneCase a normal 77 ND Filter and Promist filter. Others and Me included would buy it instantly if you could make room to put an own adapter on the iphone lens so we can use a step up ring (e.g. 49-77mm) and put our own Promist and ND filters on to it. The biggest issue with cases and smartphone rigs is that you have to buy into the ecosystem of the rig case (special case, adapter, filter, etc.) and u cannot use your own gear. If you can make it possible to use a Step up ring on the the case this would be great.

@@nog1462 The 14Promax cannot film 4K Pro Res while storing on other devices. I believe this is limited by lightning speed. Therefore, Apple does not enable such functionality for external devices.

@iRe5_iPhoneCase I meant to say I backed ed this campaign I can't remember it was Kickstarter or another campaign site but I purchased it for the iPhone 15 Promax but the iPhone 16 Promax was released before I ever received my case which I have no clue where it's even at because till this day I have not received it and I already own a 16 Promax so it's going to be useless to me. Let me look at my emails and I will get you a reference number or something?
