The names of the Chinese taxa like Qianzhousaurus always give me a hard time too. I don’t speak Chinese so I’m probably oversimplifying this, but the pronunciation is more or less “chyien-jhoe-saurus”. The ‘Qian’ is like ‘chee-yen’ but as a single syllable, and the ‘zhou’ is like ‘joe’, but where the j has a very soft almost “shh” sound to it, think of it as halfway between ‘joe’ and ‘show’. Probably easier than deciphering all that would be hearing how David Attenborough pronounces it in Prehistoric Planet 😂 There’s plenty of clips of the Qianzhousaurus scenes on KZbin, and truthfully they’re the only reason I can pronounce the name myself.

I feel like the mean green Majungasaurus should be named Grinch💚

So about the pronounciation of the Qianzhousaurus: I believe english doesn't have a "qi" sound, so the closest would be "Tsi", the "ian" is pronounced like the name "Ian" (so together would be "Tsian"), and I think there is no "zhi" sound in english either? So the closest may be like a "chk" sound? So together the closest I can explain it would be "Tsianchou-saurus" :)
