Thanks for sharing . I noticed this was posted 8 yrs. ago but just in case, you see this, I would like to know if you cook your turkey at 325 Fahrenheit all the way through the whole cooking time. I usually cook it on 400F but now, I’m wondering if lower cooking temperature will make it more tender. Thanks. Lily 3:52
@wemcalКүн бұрын
@@bestcrossroad yes I do.. until the red done probe pops up.. I’ve found that covering while roasting give me the tenderness I prefer.. you might want to look into cooking the turkey in a slow cooker.. I also check with a meat thermometer .. thanks for watching
@bestcrossroadКүн бұрын
@ Thanks, I do have The Romertopf clay pot and I have been cooking turkey in it for 3 yrs now but at 400F as the Romertopf book recommended. But I find that the meat is a bit firm,I leave a thermometer in to note for the ‘doneness’. I use organic / free range turkey. Maybe I’ll try to set oven temp.at 325F and see the difference. Thank you for replying.
@wemcalКүн бұрын
@ I use the same concept as the slow cooker.. this makes a lot of broth also.. sometimes the turkey is so tender the meat falls off the bones, the family love that more.. I have a few videos of that

Appreciating all the kerosene heater videos here at YT. Now on my third year. Started with the same 23k heater for emergency in 2022 when our furnace broke down. Now by choice after experiencing lower utility bills! With our home's open layout, I also close off rooms using thick curtains to retain or redirect heat throughout the day. This dramatically reduces use time and conserves kero. Stay toasty!

@wemcal11 күн бұрын

I need to repair some of my outside decorations as well. What type of stick welder would you suggest and also what size rods are you using? Thanks for the video!
@wemcal12 күн бұрын
@@jerryhatfield7650 I don’t know your welding skills to make a sure suggestion, however if you are beginning and want to use stick, look into one of the inverter machines, anything over 130amps.. they can do everything the transformer machines can do with less energy and you can use dc voltage and get smoother starts.. there also mig/flux core that’s easier for beginners.. in this video I’m using e6011 3/32 rods.. running ac about 90 amps.. check out some of my other welding videos to see different rods and machines… thanks for watching
@jerryhatfield765012 күн бұрын
@wemcal Thank you for the quick response! I did some welding in high school but that was many years ago. I'm sure the technology has improved since then. Currently my kid is in a welding class and knows a little bit more. I would like to avoid installing anything over a 110 outlet if that's possible.
@wemcal11 күн бұрын
@ those inverters run on 110 with 30%-40% duty cycle and you get dc.. you can still get the transformer 110 but they are mostly ac and has a 10% duty cycle..
